Hi sweetie, glad you are ok.

Manchild and I are going to WallyMartWorld soon for a few things, then I have to do laundry and whatnots.

For almost 2 weeks!!!!!

His sister is looking forward to it too.....they like to gang up on mom (me) and razz me for this/that.

All in good fun.....mom is the marshmallow :)

They especially remember the 'mom look...and now it's funny to them, but at the time, they knew to take me seriously.

When I would be put out with them, I would get their attention, but I would be so upset I would just close my eyes and stand there and quietly tell them why I was so upset....but I would keep a determined smile on my face....(to show them I was still in control, LOL)

They remember this very much, and now they do the 'mom look' to me!

It's just a bunch of silliness, but we're all looking forward to it.

He hasn't seen the 'home' grandma and grandpa entered last Spring....so that will be interesting...(it's really cute, with murals painted on the walls)....

..We will go to Disney Village or Downtown Disney...(not the 'World') to walk around and shop.

....

Just looking forward to it all.

What is the difference between Dan Rather and a Fox News Babe? Answer: The Fox News Babe only has PMS once a month.

Good one, honey! But you have to give me part credit, you know I am your muse when it comes to dealing with PMS!

You are as big of an ass as I thought you were.

You really need to quit talking to yourself while looking in the mirror!!!

I got the impression the Eurotwit was trolling for an apology. That was the furthest thing from my mind, and I really let him have it.

Prairie: Krauthammer certainly said much of what I told that Eurotwit better than I did, and I really appreciate that article you linked in #6. 2/3's: I did include the appeasement of the terrorists that Spain did as one of my examples of why I distain them, too. I've really had it up to here, and now that our great president has been vindicated by more than 60 million Americans voting to retain his leadership, my tongue has been loosed.

I highly recommend Ann Coulter's new book, "How to Talk to a Liberal, if you Must", even if you only read the first chapter or two... She's right - and I think the results I've been getting with this new "less kind and gentle" approach of mine have been more productive for me. I really don't care much whether the libs just crawl back into their holes (as Blue Lancer would have it) or if they learn to change their foolish thinking, or even if they just decide to hate me or avoid me - I know they are wrong and have been wrong and I am no longer going to take it or avoid letting them know it.

I have yet to read of an actual torture case by our soldiers. The human rights organizations are nuts, imo.

And in an article that warmed my heart, there is this:

A House Judiciary subcommittee is investigating the finances of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, whose chairman, Mary Frances Berry, is in a dispute over whether her term ends this week or next month.

I've always enjoyed those progressive dinners, and I really do enjoy the bit of folksy "what's going on today" banter.

I'm at work this weekend, and will be missing yet another concert my daughter's choir will be doing. The last couple months I've been on the worst possible synchronization of schedules with her activities, but next month that is finally going to be changing - hopefully for a long time. It has been exceedingly difficult to get any holiday preparation done so far. I've even decided that I'm going to have to actually take some vacation time to get things done in preparation for Christmas or it isn't going to happen.

I have always loved to trade insults with people. It is fun test of wits. It is a game many of my friends and I have played for years. It is the foundation of humor. That is why the term "Butt of the joke" is relevant.

Over the years I have found that bright creative people like to play that game. My eldest daughter and I play it all the time. Sometimes I top her.. sometimes she tops me. People of lessor abilities only get hurt and offended by the game.

I am sorry I have offended you. I will not respond to any of your posts again.

That is the same silly goose who managed to win a dispute about whether she could continue to serve past 2001, I believe. Whether a week or a month from now, it will be good to have her gone.

It takes a whole of creativity and brightness to infer someone is ugly and tie God into it. Trading insults?? I can only imagine how big your pool of friends is.

As my Dad used to always say, "You have a lot of class; all of it low.

She is indeed the same silly goose.

I've been making sweet/sour pecans and batching them up in pretty boxes that I've rubber stamped and painted with Christmas decorations. I have also been sampling way too much this morning. LOL

If you scroll up you will see that Common Tator did not start the negativity. He was posting a joke, and then someone came back and "tried" to insult him. Not possible however, as he is probably the most intelligent man I have ever met in my life, and has a wonderful sense of humor. I've yet to see someone get the best of him in a battle of wits.

Just wanted to set the record straight. Thanks!

I was glad to get a phone call that the others are running late for our kayak outing today. It is cold out .. I think that is the reason the others are delaying. with wind chill it will be brisk. Heaven help anyone who dumps!!

Thanks for photos/essay AFP.. very nice.

Wow on the chemical explosion. I lived just outside the second beltway in SW Houston Kassie.. Glad it wasn't near the refineries, we would have heard it here in Cleveland.

HIYA backatcha 2/3

Lisa, when someone says....'Don't quit your day job'.... this is commonly known as a joke.... and almost always taken in that vein by those who have the perception and intelligence to appreciate a good joke .....

..but any reference to someone's appearance which is implied in cruel words....is not funny.

My personal peeve are people who say.... "What's the matter with you, can't you take a joke"....when, in truth, it is nothing funny, but something usually malicious or cruel.
