Mel Gibson May Buy Fiji Island

Hollywood mega star Mel Gibson is considering buying a Fijian island.

The Australian Herald Sun paper reports that the Aussie-raised Gibson had been flown by helicopter to Mago Island which is on the market.

The Fiji Times reported first on Gibson's foray into island adventure. No doubt Mel is looking for a place as far away as possible from Hollywood's p.c. crowd.

Gibson could not be contacted for comment and was said to be staying with his family on an estate nearby.

Mago Island's asking price is $19 million.

It was described as having pristine ecology and terrain, rises to 500 feet on its eastern cliffs and fringed entirely by reefs, powder white beaches and turquoise lagoons.

Or going to make a movie there.

Nah...he's buying it for me for Christmas, so we can make passionate love on the beach...{waking from my fantasy...***Sigh***...}

As I told hubby, Mel is the only man I would ever leave him for...I just can't figure out why he looked so disappointed though : )

I know what you mean. He's a REAL man. And a devoted Christian. Oh well, some women have all the luck.

I wonder how thick the place is with some of those nasty snakes like in Australia.

The snakes came from airplane wheel-wells. Since there is no landing-strip, its a good bet the island is clean.
