Hollywood mega star Mel Gibson is considering buying a Fijian island.
The Australian Herald Sun paper reports that the Aussie-raised Gibson had been flown by helicopter to Mago Island which is on the market.
The Fiji Times reported first on Gibson's foray into island adventure. No doubt Mel is looking for a place as far away as possible from Hollywood's p.c. crowd.
Gibson could not be contacted for comment and was said to be staying with his family on an estate nearby.
Mago Island's asking price is $19 million.
It was described as having pristine ecology and terrain, rises to 500 feet on its eastern cliffs and fringed entirely by reefs, powder white beaches and turquoise lagoons.
The real Jesusland?
Can I go Mel?
Sounds pretty good to me right about now....
GOOD FOR YOU, MEL!!
It's not the price of the island, it's the cost to get there that hurts.
His Jesusland would put our Jesusland to shame.

He can buy it, use it in a film and make it a write off.
Criminy ... I'd love to work there. If he needs computer support or a ranch hand I'd be all for it.
Perfect! I was looking for an island getaway. ; )
