There are so many things that make FR great. It's my favorite place on the Internet and I am proud to support it financially.

However, there are a few things that have been getting under my skin too.

1. Jokes about the "72 virgins" every time there is news of a Muslim terrorist being killed. Please. Over the last three years, every possible variation of the virgins joke has already been done. Hundreds of times. It is far, far beyond cliché by now.
2. Jokes about spitting one's food or drink on the screen or keyboard, in response to someone else's humorous post. Again, every possible variation has appeared here a hundred or a thousand times over. I dare say 99.99% of them are exaggerations for comic effect. It's getting almost as banal as the virgins.
3. FR slang (beeber, moose, cheese, hugh, series) in every thread, to no effect at all. At least donate to Jim if you are going to waste everyone's bandwidth like this.
4. Over-zealous moderators who zap cross-posts from DU as soon as they appear. Prime opportunities for hilarity, gloating, and schadenfreude, especially after they lose an election, are lost forever. Can we assess these individually on the basis of their merits?

I was stuning my beeber before a good zotting, when a moose flagged me down about a cheese-eating surrender monkey on the loose. It sounded so series that I sprayed dew all over my 'tor when I was reminded that 72 grapes just rotted...I'm glad you feel better. That's hugh.

1. The "immigration is everything" crowd. 2. The "Catholic Church is never wrong" crowd. 3. The overuse of the words "Hugh," "Beeber," and "Series."

I totally agree on #1 and #3. And how about the "Creationists are too stupid to live/Evolution is the epitome of pure science" crowd?

Here's my chief gripe: Titles with misspelled words. How much trouble is it to proofread one stinking line of text? But no, some idiot thinks it is crucial that he post his blather as fast as his fingers can type. So the same stupid heading with the same stupidly misspelled word keeps going and going and going, sometimes for days and even weeks on end. What's worse than a title with a misspelled word? A title with "lose" spelled "loose." AARRGGHH!!!!
