Kitty Caption LXXVIII – BCS (B.S.) Madness (and SOLUTION) – (Humor/Meow Alerts)
29 November 2004 | PetroniDE

Posted on 11/29/2004 4:16:02 PM PST by PetroniDE

We are three games away from a second consecutive BCS implosion. Assuming that USC, Oklahoma, and Auburn all win this weekend (and I am hoping for it), we will have either multiple and/or disputed national champions.

It is the only league where you can win every game you play, and some 25-year old geek who couldn’t make water-boy on his high-school team says “well that is not good enough”. If our feline friends can figure out how to determine the national championship in Division 1-A football, why can’t some egg-head college presidents? Okay cats, do your stuff.

Beano Cook, You Are A Moron ! Here Is The Plan.
16 teams; conference champs from top six leagues and all 11-0 and 10-1 (or better) teams automatically in (regardless of power rankings).
Rest of the field at-large berths (use any system you wish to select them).

College Football Playoff Selection Committee.
Seed 1-8 in East/West regions (keep conference rivals as far apart as practical). First round games AFTER final exams using
minor bowl sites (based on geographic proximity). Other minor bowl games can still exist as they do now.

You Want to Watch CFB Playoffs, OK – Just Don’t Tell Mom !
Quarter-finals between 1-7 Jan. Semi-finals about one week later. Championship game one week after that.
Semi-finals and finals rotate between Rose, Sugar, Orange, and Fiesta.
Quarter-finals rotate between bowls above and Cotton, Sun, and Gator bowls.

See, Problem Solved. Is That So Hard You Liberal College Presidents?

Utah and Boise State are undefeated too.

True. That points to another problem. Even if USC/Oklahoma/Auburn lose, those teams don't have a shot, and will NEVER have a chance at the NC, regardless of their schedule. Follow the $$ and the big schools want it all for themselves.

If they want a NC in 1-A football, have a playoff; otherwise have no NC.

I'd love to see Utah Play Boise St.

Predicted score: Utah 96 BSU 89.

My crew knows when football is on, Pop isn't moving from the couch for a couple of hours. I usually end up with 3-4 felines piled up on or near me.

My cats never sleep together like that. If they get that close, sooner or later, they end up fighting like, well, cats and dogs.

Yes, now that you mention it, the girl does resemble the young Haley Mills.

I had a crush on Haley back in the late 50's.

Now I have a crush on Catherine Zeta-Jones. My, how things have changed....

LOL! Time is an enigma -- and what it does to us even more so. As a young girl, I had a crush on Roger Staubach. Now I have a crush on Barney, the president's dog.

My cats will sleep on the same bed as long as they don't touch, but I've known tons of people whose cat's will sleep in a pile.
