I see a day when the mom and pops can get back into the game again!
I would study how WalMar does this and than see how it could be francised so it is taylor to each community instead of these overwhelming stores!
I see where Sears and K-Mark has merge.....it should be interesting!
Any way it was fastinating see behind the scenes at WalMar it is a marble...
Have you won since then?
This place is dead. You'd almost think people had a life apart from FR.
Something for all the anti-WalMart folks...

LOL!
We do, and it isn't as much fun.
13 for dinner, and Thanksgiving means using the good silver and china, which has to be hand washed.
Bleah.

Was LisaAnne still there for Thanksgiving?
No, whimper, she left Saturday.
She is busy feeding her daughter and her ex.

Well, doggone! We were going to come up to watch my son in the Iron Man, but my husband fell down the attic stairs and fractured his ankle. Wouldn't have been fun on an airplane - let alone standing in the crowds cheering the contestants. Then the fires started up there, and we figured they might not even have the IM. But, you all did such a wonderful job hosting the racers. We were amazed.
My oldest son who was in the race (who lives in Bellingham WA) comes to Canada often...he even lived in Vancouver for a year. He loved the experience. It was his first IM and he finished in 12 hrs. Pretty good for a first try. I followed the entire race on line - that was very exciting.
My other son has a friend who lives in Penticton, and we were going to stay at her house. Who knows, we coulda met - LOL. You are right - it is a small world.
And those fires looked pretty terrible. I imagine plenty of people were frightened. Thanks for your Thanksgiving Day wishes to us down south!
The fires were something to behold. We live on the West side of the lake and looked straight across at them. My brother-in-law has a telescope and we had our binoculars etc. I watched through the telescope on the one really bad Friday night, I watched a house burn down in just over 4 minutes. You couldn't believe this fire. There were a wall of flames 100 feet high and moving at an incredible pace. Some of the firefighters almost lost their lives. The fire actually started by a lightning strike between Penticton and Kelowna.!! It hit in the thick forest of a National Park and as usual the PROVINCE took too much time in authorizing those huge planes that they use to dump the retardant. What else is new about governments huh? Couldn't organize a two man rush to the $h*thouse!! Our local fire fighters were wonderful.
Gosh sorry to hear the news about the ankle more calcium sign...
I hope he mends quickly too bad you had to miss those events
Pray the rest of your Thanksgiving week is better!
.....Westy....
.....Westy.....
Yes, I did. I love the way the sunbeams show in it.
Greeting Westy!
I am so sore an out condition that was a lot of food...
To think I use to eat that much and never gave it a thought!
My cat was so happy this evening I got out a few slivers of turkey and he was so pleased!
That was my only meal for the day and I think I will wait until tomorrow to continue....LOL!
Glad you had a good day what more could you ask for than a meal with you Baja friends!
Resty

We just got back from the big Thanksgiving Day dinner at the relatives. It was fine - everybody behaved themselves. The tough part was getting there - traffic was horrible, and moving slowly. Coming home, traffic was flowing well, but it was foggy and drizzly. But we're here, I'm making a cup of tea, and am going to relax on the recliner with a kitty in my lap.
Too bad you couldn't have directed him to the DUhmmie Funnies. He'd have really been stewing.
