LOL!
A block of real Brazilian Rosewood just big enough to make a set of pistol grips will set you back about $25.00
It has been illegal to import it for at least a dozen years.
They have taken to calling similar colored woods from other places in South America or Asia some type of rosewood, but they aren't.
They are good hard woods, but it's nice to know what you are really getting.

Can't spell 'brother' without 'bother'..
*sigh*
I think the shutters will be great. They look nice, and as you said, the kitties will have to really work at it to wreck them!
Of snakes?
YES!
Thanks. I'll ask them. I know that what the flooring place had is rated as harder than the oak, and looked beautiful, and certainly cost more than the oak we were looking at. We want something durable.
LOL. I am so sorry. We'll give you a break. Daughter speak is far more important. Plus, we have three weeks. :)
See the casa out there on the Punta?
That's my idea of a winter place
The lady didn't like the yard though...
Any ideas on gussying it all up a bit, or am I on the wrong thread?
.....Westy.....
I have planted any bulbs yet. I've been too lazy. You just fired me up. :)
Yes, yes we would have a grand time. Right before they tossed us out. :)Her neighbors would speak of it for years to come. :)
You missed my haunting Darks!
Don't think you are talking about the same stuff. There is wood flooring called rosewood, it's usually special order but can be purchased everywhere, often cheaper than Cheri is quoting it.
"I had chills up and down my spine"
"I never thought in my lifetime I'd see an African-American woman being nominated as Secretary of State."
"George Bush made that happen."

Whant me to haunt you again!
She's been pickin' on people on other threads.
She been baaaaad.
*chuckle*
Hmm. I'm going to look at a couple of more flooring stores before I order. My husband gets in a hurry sometimes, and I like to take a little more time. What we were looking at was very lovely, though.
My friend has had her's for years. She says it's tough as nails. Just polish it from time to time and that's all the care it needs. I knew it was rare but had no idea it was so expensive.
Swervie, you know everything. :)
Thinking back on it, are you sure you didn't bring a crowd with you?
Kinda a "Hey, let's go haunt D-sheare's mind while he sleeps" thing?
Skull feels like there was a large crowd in there milling about.
