My favorite space weapon has to be the one nicknamed the "Rods from God" satellite.

A satellite armed with giant tungsten rods that are dropped on the target.

These people think outer space is just that part of the upper atmosphere and near earth space where most earth satellites operate. They seem unconcerned that their prohibitions will deny and are denying private development of space resources. So far they have produced the 1967 Outer Space Treaty and the 1984 Moon Treaty and various understandings and conventions. The US signed the 1967 but not the more onerous Moon Treaty. The 1967 Treaty itself effectively stops space development even though space resources begin and exist far beyond the region of interest of the arms controllers.

It is unbelievable that we can allow these men of limited vision to continue to impede our way.
