The weaponization of space was avoided during the Cold War, even though both superpowers jockeyed for military advantage on virtually every other front. Space weaponry can also be avoided now, when the United States enjoys unparalleled agenda-setting powers.

The above statement by Krepon proves how incredibly fixated the liberals are on already-disproven assumptions. ICBMS/SLBMS are weapons that go through space, hence being perhaps the far larger threat. A threat which we need to be able to respond to detect, deter, destroy. Which requires our unimpeded space capabilities, and un-surprised by a space-going Pearl Harbor attack, surveillance, battle command C-4-I capability, and missile intercept...all of which is a far more desireable, and moral posture.
