Choose your enemies wisely Mr. Putin, for if the USA is one of them, your rocket will become fodder to "Luke Skywalker" if an attempt to use them against us is forwarded.

I think this is the missile that can orbit the earth so it can approach a target from any direction and thereby avoid missile defense systems. It really doesn't change the strategic balance because our missile defense systems can't stop an attack by numerous ICBMs launched simultaneously.

Russia is a second rate power;
We crushed the "Evil Empire;"
The Russian mafia is stealing the stuff critical to the creation of nuclear briefcases - we need to buy the stuff from Russia to prevent it from getting into terrorist hands;
Russia is unable to control and protect its nuclear arsenal;
The Russian military is about to revolt from the lack of food, clothing and no paychecks.

.....but wait.....

Money Russians have been getting from American taxpayers for all of the above reasons has been put to good use!!!

Russia is on the verge of displaying a nuclear device paid for with American money that ....no one has (that's US), and no one (that's US) will ever have....!!!

Do you suppose the device will wave a banner:

"Thank You, Stupid American Taxpayers!!!

Just a minor point for clarity.

It was a previous President which worked so hard to help Mr. Putin and Russia back on her feet, ex-President Billy 'Loose-zipper' Clinton, through loans guaranteed by not only the U.S. but our 'all-lies' the Euro's.

Yup, but it does seem like dumb waste of money. They got nervous about us developing starwars. They asked us not to, we went ahead anyway. So they now they're blowing a bunch of money on nukes that'll probably make our star wars obsolete, if it ever works in the first place.

All this while our troops in Iraq don't have enough armor, and Russians live in poverty. What intelligent leaders the world has!!!

One has to ask why they're telling the world about it. There is apparently more value in letting the world know than keeping it a secret.

There are two contenders for why that might be: 1) A deterrent against other countries (probably the US, but maybe China) where they otherwise feel vulnerable, or 2) they're looking to sell it to raise cash.

Who Keeps repeating the same lie over and over like a mantra, that communism is dead? The same intentions the Russians had back in 60-80's is still the same. They may have adapted to capitalism...but the intentions of a showdown with the U.S is started over again. The arms buildup is on the rise. Screw the talk of disarming and cutting back ICBM's and stockpiles. That is a crock!!!Putin is a very dangerous KGB man. Stop pouring money into the Russian economy and into his lap. The Russian Bear is still breathing ,The Bear was in Hibernation and now it is awaking.

Some years back, a high level KGB defector named Golitsyn published a book saying that the collapse of the Soviet Union was a strategic deception. The goal was to cause us to cease regarding them as a threat. This would enable them to surpass us militarily.

He was regarded as a crank at the time.

This news makes his analysis seem increasingly credible.
