"Bond...James Bond."
Incorrect. :-)
"That's mighty bold talk for a one eyed, fat man"
Robert Duval to John Wayne in True Grit.
also
"Who's in charge" Martin Sheen
"You are" soldier
and
"don't get out of the boat" Martin Sheen
Apocalypse Now
We use all three at work...
Chock full of great lines. And that toe thing works too, really releives tension when you're traveling.
Ah, you mean my tag-line?
I'll be back;
We will always have Paris;
Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn;
You don't want to know the truth. You can't handle the truth;
Honey I'm home!;
I coulda been somebody, I coulda been a contender;
Go ahead punk, make my day
Just a few of my favorites
IMHO,my FAVORITE is from "Dog Day Afternoon"
Al Pacino is trying to negotiate a hostage situation with a NYPD police negotiator, and after listening to the policemans' "promises" to get Al out of his situation, his reply to the negotiator is:
Pacino:"Kiss Me !!"
Policeman:"What?"
Pacino:"Kiss me!!"
Policeman:"Why?"
Pacino:" I like to be kissed,WHILE I'M BEING F**KED !!"
....and EVERYTIME I get in a situation where I think I'm being "taken advantage of", I reply with the "Kiss me !!"
line....
Shame on me.
Yup... THe whole movie, inexplicably ranked so highly by AFI, was just a set-up for that one line. And it still was worth it.
You are so money and you don't even know it!
Wait 'till Otis sees us... He LOVES us!
Otis.. My Man.
Sounds like steam escaping.
You're right! "Colossal Blunder" is Presumed Innocent, 1990. The Princess Bride quote is "Classic Blunder."
My quote isn't accurate, but as Dan Rather might say, it reflects the underlying truth of whatever the dialog was about.
Igor: It's times like this that I remember what my old dad used to say.
Dr. Friedrich von Frankenstein: What was that?
Igor: "What the hell are you doing in the bathroom all day and night? Why don't you get out of there and give someone else a chance?"
Don't sell yourself short judge, you're a tremendous slouch.
Hey, maybe I'll give you a call sometime. Your number still 911? Alllllrighty then!
There was another line in Diamonds are Forever that always cracks me up.
James Bond has rescued Willard Whyte (Jimmy Dean), from a mountain home with the help of some CIA agents. When they are leaving, one of the henchmen opens fire on them with a sniper rifle. The agents shoot the guy, whose name is Burt Saxby, who falls to his death.
Bond-"Saxby"
Whyte-"BURT SAXBY?"
Bond-"Yes"
Whyte-"Tell him he's fired."
