Trust me: Much will be made of the 2 jurors who were dismissed and how quickly the new jury came to a verdict.
Greta, et al are rambling on and on about other stuff, but soon 'the issue' will be the jury replacements.
The legal panel is beginning to inch into it now.
I agree. As much as I wanted this trial over and done with I'm afraid we might have more in store. Ack!!
I hope that doesn't happen, john.
I meant to congratulate you on the installation of your new carpeting. How great that will be for the holidays!
If I keep going, I may be a contender.
M'lady, you have just created (or are guilty of or whatever the right verb is) a fair funkle. Congratulations! ... :-)
LOL!
I was at the hairdresser and they had the television on waiting for the verdict; we all thought he'd be found guilty.
Have to get dressed for dinner and then a play which the hairdresser tells me is so boring I should bring a book :-(

Rules for Funkeling. |
In order to score a Fair Funkle on Free Republic, a FReeper must observe the following rules: 1) The thread chosen must have been active within 1/2 hour prior to declaring an attempt. 2) The FReeper must delare a "Fair Funkle" attempt in his/her first post. 3) The FReeper must post count downs from 4 to 1 (the declaration post counts as the first post) at no less than 5 minute intervals. 4) It is the duty of any freeper seeing the declaration to post a "bump", thus ending the attempt. 5) The successful FReeper may, at the fifth and last post, declare in any derisive terms desired, "I did it! A Fair Funkle!" 6) Scoring of Fair Funkles will be by a jury of FReeper peers (the Funkle Committee), and will include: time intervals between count down posts, total time consumed and thread popularity prior to the Fair Funkle. 7) Scoring disputes will be decided by the Funkle Committee and may not be appealed. 8) The awarding of the annual Fairest Funkle Of Them All trophy will be decided by the Funkle Committee. |
Aunt "Leenie" can't wait to see her new niece on Thanksgiving! Another beautiful gift my father left us to celebrate...life. I'm sure he is smiling down from Heaven.
Congratulations!!!
I heard a Cali prosecutor address this issue on CBS Radio.....
He said, and appeal based on jury dismissal is very, very hard to win.
In this case, he thinks that will be the only thing Geragas will try to appeal and he will, as he has continually, lose, yet again. Going down in history as a pretty lousy lawyer.
Laci and Conner Peterson got justice today. Although the jury's verdict can never bring them back, at least they know that justice was served and rightly so.
And why was it that Mark Geragross couldn't "make" it to the courtroom on time? SP's father wasn't there, either. My heart goes out to both of the families...I cannot even imagine the pain they must all be going through right now.
Scott Peterson better hope that the jury does give him the death penalty for Laci's murder, because if they don't, the lovely prisoners of San Quentin will mete out his justice.
Just another case where the pundits got it wrong. Hung jury my rear end...if these 12 people couldn' figure it out by now, they had no business being on the jury. :-)
Thank You! :-)
Years ago ..many years ago... when I worked for Pacific Telephone Company in LA, California, the company had a contest. Back then the gimic saying/ sentence, Happiness is....
The contest was to finish that sentence. My entry was:
Happiness is saying thank you and getting you're welcome in return.
Guess what? I won. A small town hick won a lunch with the big city bosses.
Congratulation, DEEJ.
Just the opposite here. The minute I put them on is when they want a converstaion. It could be dead silence for hours...plop headphones on and you'd swear I was a long lost relative who just returned home. LOL
