I need help in answering this - sent to me by a NYC fay Democrat angry that the US is at war. Please pass this on to members of your address book...so we can all contemplate who has the right and the knowledge and the experience to lead us into war...and who has not!
So according to this bozo, I suppose this means Clinton was a totally illigitimate President?
Your friend is EXTREMELY mistaken on many of the medals and some of the names...i.e.: Ted Kennedy never served. Only Bob Kerrey is a MOH winner; McGovern never won a Silver Star and I don't believe (but am not sure) that Cleland did either (only Kerry)... And, BTW, it is proven that Iowa Sen. Hawkin lied mostly about his combat experience; and Al Gore's PAO "Shield of Shame" IG Branch doesn't count for much!
BOTH Truman and Lincoln DID serve!
Here's the right answer:
Do you Dem's that keep screaming 'Chicken Hawks' to Republicans really believe that veterans really would vote not to fight if only veterans are allowed to decide?
Or how about this? If being a veteran is the criteria to determine whether to go to war I think only those vets who faced comabat should get to vote. Or how about this? How about veterans who saw combat and were wounded. Or veterans wounded and decorated?
If one arbitrary criteria (being a veteran) is the measure then the others are equally appropriate.
My count, 91 Reps and 64 Dems. Apparently Kennedy was an Army Pfc
oppps. FDR did not serve.
Babs Streisand has this list up on her web site.
Hillary Rodham Clinton. Did not serve.
James Carville. Did not serve.
Joe Lockhart. Did not serve.
Mike McCurry. Did not serve.
Paul Begala. Did not serve.
Madeline Albright. Did not serve.
Richard Holbrooke. Did not serve.
I served too. It makes my blood boil. Our kids are over there now putting their lives in danger but these libs can't just shut up and support them. They will watch only to keep track of US deaths and hope for a higher body count.
Let them rock and drool over each other and feel each others pain (and whatever else they are feeling)..while they search for "validation" (whatever that means). It is so sickening...they are nothing but insignificant judgemental controlling clueless liberal pissants and really not worth your time.
You might tell them to shut up and support one of the bigger voting blocs that put Bush back in office - our military !

Yes the hate filled liberal bedwetters don't realize how they help the enemy.
Don't forget Colin Powell either! I heard a story that he turned down his third PH in Nam to stay with his men. Same with Ollie North.
Sorry but Carville was a Marine Cpl.
Mike Rogers - Army.
Thought you might be interested. I received today this list from a Democrat. I just wanted to thank all of you for the information on FR that you posted last year. It helped me form the answer I wanted to send back, and reminded me that I often get more and better information from FR than a Google search.
Democrats are still hurting over the unpatriotic and anti-military exposure they so justly deserve. They just can't seem to adjust to the truth of who they are and what they stand for.
Ask them if what they are saying is that only those that have served should be allowed to make national policy decisions.
Then ask him if he means those in the rear echelon or just those that actually saw action. Then if its just those that saw action should it just be those that were decorated. And if a guy has serveral decorations doesn't he deserve more than one vote?
