CHARTED: Yoko Ono, 71, has the No. 1 single on the dance chart, "Every Man Has A Man Who Loves Him"/"Every Woman Has A Woman Who Loves Her," a mix of techno beats and her somewhat off-key vocals that delivers a message in favor of same-sex unions. "This is a victory not just for me but for all Americans who are against the administration's decision to ban gay marriage," Ono says about the success of the tune, as quoted by the BBC.

If those guys became Yoko's backup singers they could go on tour as Yatta Ono.

Don't forget that Nancy Sinata rolled up to the White House on the bag of a Harley riding with the Rolling Thunder Vietnam Vets on Memorial Day when they endorsed President Bush...

My Christmas Wish list is now complete: Clinton book, Moore DVD, and Yoko Ono CD. (sarcasm off) If you are "mature" adult and are looking for some provocative film work, Yoko was in a real movie (now on DVD) back in 1965...
"This brutal drug drama (actually two films edited together) features Yoko Ono as the fiancee of a drug pusher who wants to go straight. His supplier kidnaps Ono in order to keep him selling dope, while in an unrelated story three black-clad addicts terrorize women."

It wasn't "Win or Die" but you bring up an interestng point. Maybe the young man who killed himself at Ground Zero didn't vote and he figured Puff Diddy would be angry with him.

Which reminds me, I can't get enough of John Cale's 4:33. It's like I'm listening to this song constantly and even singing it in the shower.

My point simply was how many of the 18 to 24 year old "Vote or Die" t-shirt wearing contingent
actually voted? Yeah, the sentiment is great when there's a free concert involved but to show up for just a lousy "I Voted" sticker? Only if Ashton Kutcher is handing them out!
Now there's an idea for the democrats next election: celebrities manning the polls! Guaranteed to increase turnout from the couch potato crowd! Don't worry, it will never happen. (1) The celebrities would actually have to do some work. (2) They'd have to come into contact with icky middle America.

If Yoko Ono had married Cher's ex and then the lead singer of U2 she'd be Yoko Ono Bono Bono... If she married a 70's commercial-dittie writer next she would be Yoko Ono Bono Bono Manilow

Barry made most of his money off of just 2 jingles. He should have written a book about it called A Sale Of Two Ditties.

It
would be interesting to compare how many "Vote or Die" kids DIDN'T vote vs. how many "Voting Is For Old People" DID vote.
Does fashion determine politics?

He did:
State Farm Insurance (Like A Good Neighbor)
Stridex (give you face something to smile about)
Stuck On Me (Band-Aid Brand)
Bathroom Bowl Blues (Green Bowlene)
The Most Original Soft Drink Ever (Dr. Pepper)
Feelin' Free (Pepsi-Cola)
McDonald's (You Deserve A Break Today)
among others ... he did more than a few ditties -- credit where credit is due.

Speaking of backup singers. I just showed this story to my brother and he brought up a good point. He said if yucko(his words)ono ever got together and did a duet with johnnie hung from american idol that it might be the catalist for congress or even the military repealing the first amendment to the constitution.I cant say I disagree with him either :-)
