My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Who wrote that? It's not bad. I didn't think we had poetry talent like that on this forum. :) Of course I know we have real writing talent, but poets were one I didn't know about. :)

I'm surprised you managed to get 500 comments on a thread. That must've taken a long time to come in to keep bumping your thread. Over 500 times. I bet that got monotonous. Well, Star did one or two. :)
In all actuality, you're very good at what you do, Ms. Feather. The poetry is very good. Real good. I never had a knack for that there poetry, ma'am. I have truble compliting grammmaticcal senntences. I'm proud to know you, lady.

We (The Dragon Flies' Lair) has been here for over a year. LOL Sixteen months to be exact. I have been a poet at FR since Nov.16, 2001.

Been hangin' in there. Trying to stay dry mostly. LOL! I've never seen so much rain around here like we've had. It's insane. Raining right now, as a matter of fact.
Plus, when it rains, ALL the cats want to come inside. Imagine 45 cats inside at one time! EGADS!!!!!!!!!!
