It wasn't there when I posted to that thread two weeks ago!
Sheesh, it's the day for dragging up the past. Got pinged to a thread I posted to three years ago and told I was judgemental for saying tongue studs are a sign of brain damage.
1. To town??
2. I came home to find that my cousin has found his collection of miniature lighthouses, pictures of lighthouses he has taken himself, a sort of cloth hanging about lighthouses, and a set of dishes and a dishtowel with a lighthouse theme, and scattered them thru the apartment...
3. ...and immediately left on a delayed and therefore shortened vacation...I will now begin to execute some of my redecorating plans for the place...
Rosie, I am so glad you're OK.
Brain damage is caused by tongue studs.
Why do I get the feeling your redocorating plans are a little less, oh, metrosexual?
I am sorry brought up light houses in such a casual and insensitive manner. I had no idea your situation at home.
See, that's what the article I posted on was about, some chick who got brain damage from a tongue stud infection. So I said it was the other way around... and now three years later some moron drags it up again. And pings me!
Since apartment maintenance folks are possibly in here when I'm not, my fulsome collection of weaponry will remain closeted, rather than becoming the Museum of Slaughter they so richly deserve to be :)
(Since they are all but three ex-military weapons, I can only say that Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns while I've owned them).
One of the pieces is a ship...the Nantucket Light-Ship.
I'm going to hang some stuff of my own, but it's more militaria (my own, thank you) and ancestral photos (our mutual Gt Gt Grandpa, of Civil War fame, and his lovely wife).
Take it for what it's worth:
Not Much.
Oh - OK then.... I like lighthouses too, I thought I detected a bit of a tone in your post about them.
...and in both common rooms...
...there's no escaping them! Augh!
:)
I can see how they could be a little overwhelming and intimidating for a guy, if overdone. ;~D
But then again, things always break in threes.
Whew! Rosie, glad you came out okay! Between your first wreck post and the update, I was thinking..."Oh great...Rosie doesn't need her insurance rates to double for the next three years or so.
Then again, losing a wheel while driving makes breaking a garage door spring sound like not too big a deal. :)
I'm actually just amused. Not irritated. After all, it wasn't a religion forum thread ;-)
I have learned it's best not to irritate you...
...tho it's perversely fun to imagine the fate of those who do it.
What? Me? What have I ever done?
*Is amused*
:)
...but demolish with wit and good humour* the flawed and ill-considered semantic ramparts of your foe...
*Dunno why the Brit spelling seemed most a propos...
Ah, well... and yes, the Brit spelling may be more appropriate for me. Even if my heritage wasn't 98.5% British, my humour certainly is...
Thanks for the compliment.
