Just a quick check before the duty day starts. Today, we all learn how to make snazzy stuff with PowerPoint ( a yawner of a class for those who already know it), but who knows - old dogs can learn new tricks, ya know...

I'm pretty sure they'll cover it...they're covering the Holocaust next year and from what I've seen, it's pretty thorough...they cover it this year too, but just not as in depth.
Any particular book you would suggest, g'nad? I like to fluff things out while the interest is there and it's certainly there now.
On a lighter note, Matthew checked out a video from the library called "Here comes a tank." It's a bit young for him, but Joshua loves it and I gotta admit, it just has me cracking up. Has this really doofy guy giving an informative talk and demo about all kinds of tanks and during one part he accidently shoots off one of the guns...says "Ohhhh....I shouldn't have done THAT!" I just roared. It's got real life marines that are trying to deal with this guy and it's just a hoot...
It was something, wasn't it? Very good story.
We didn't watch any more PBS after it was over. Steve came home, though, right after and Matthew told him ALL about it...so he must have been impressed...
Check this out. We got one last suprise yesterday while we were getting ready to leave. James Gandolfini, and Tony Sirico of the Sopranos stopped by to visit. They were very cool. They hung out and joked around with us for several hours before moving on to the next camp.
How cool is that for you guys?! I saw the picture before I read your post and thought that's who it was!

Morning, all. I hate... what's today... Wednesdays, right. And I hate that I'm seriesly up weight-wise. Got to get back on the diet. And I'm stiff from lifting yesterday. Yay.

Well, that's the last of the habaneros dehydrated and ground up. Filled up a bacon bits shaker.
Minimal respiratory discomfort (I kept my face back from the grinder), but it still got me in the eyes and nose.
Mmmm! Think I'll splurge and have some scrambled eggs with some of this pepper on it!
We had a discussion about duct tape in network class night night. We did a sort of lap where we were divided in groups and were supposed to design a network for the new residence hall / community center.
After being told that most of the ceilings are solid, my group decided to just run cables along the ceiling and tape 'em down with designer duct tape in many pretty colors. Well...not really, but it did come up. ;-)
I haven't done any weights (or walkin') in awhile. Hard to get motivated during the dark season. Gosh, I hate that about winter! I dislike the cold somewhat, but I like snow. It's the lack of light that gets to me. Realllly gets to me.
