My friends,
After listening to Sean Hannity regail us with the exit poll numbers, I should be livid. However, I am not. I have been overcome with a strange sense of calm. None of us know what the outcome of this election will be, but I do know a few things.
We all are fighting and praying for a W victory. If that does not happen, be reassured by this. The left fights to live, we live to fight. No matter who wins we will come back smarter, stronger, and better equipped for tomorrows battles. The left in this country is in its death throws, they just don't know it yet.
So, my friends, be of good cheer, because we have not begun to fight.
I think you have the wrong slogan. It's either "Ein Reich, Ein Volk, Ein Fuhrer" or "Glory to the Great Stalin, Father of the People".
But thanks for making it clear that your ultimate goal is the mass murder of people with whom you disagree. We all knew it already, of course.
Tell me, have you already bought the barbed wire, bullets, and backhoes for the extermination camps?
I, too, feel calm about the election. I think it comes from the notion that, at the end of the day, there are enough good people in our country who realize what matters most in this election--our nation's security in a very dangerous world. Democrats are simply not good at taking action (especially proactively) with regard to national security.
I also idealistically believe (maybe foolishly so) that there are enough moderate democrats who realize that Kerry is an utterly empty suit, a charlatan, a phony, a liar, a traitor, a do-nothing, a hopelessly liberal liberal.
I am no big fan of Bush (I have gone for the Constitution Party in the past 2 elections). But this year I pulled the lever in my NJ voting booth for the president, seeing that my state was a possible "battleground" state and that the nation needed me to step up.
God Bless the United States of America!
W stands for Win!!!
Anecdotally, Dubya v Gore was close. I know a number of democrats that are uninspired by Kerry, that voted for Gore and are now voting for President Bush. :-)
