How Many Votes Did The Release Of These MEANINGLESS Exit Polls Cost Us?

Posted on 11/02/2004 12:10:17 PM PST by montereyp1

I cannot believe Drudge and NRO did this.

It's like calling FL an hour early.

These early polls are meaningless! The MSM knows this. That's why they leaked them. To suppress our vote.

Just VOTE!

Repubs work. Many of us vote after work. Students and unions vote during the day.

Our people have just begun to show up. The other people are done voting. THIS IS FAR FROM OVER.

VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! These polls mean nothing.

Why would it discourage ANYBODY? I would think if anything it would encourage people to go vote while the polls are still open.

SLAM Klo's mailbox. I just sent her a scathing leyyer. She responds 'Uhm, it's our job."

Uhm, you sound like Peter "traitor" Arnette.

Suppressing the vote is her job?

I am done with NRO. Done!

Look, the handwriting for the MSM, and all media has been on the wall forever. Any Bush supporter that takes this exit poll info as gospel is smoking funny stuff. Now, forget all this BS and get out and vote for GW Bush, and get all your friends, relatives, etc. to do exactly the same. We are going to win this big tonight. Get in gear and go vote, right now!!!!

DRUDGE IS THE ONLY ONE WITH EXIT POLLING! The Main Stream Media DOES NOT have exit polling on their sites. This is Drudge and no one else!

In addition, these exit polls are POLLS. They are just as worthless as all the polls over the past week, especially since it appears that 10 percent are refusing to say who they voted for. Which way do you think that demographic breaks, hmmmm? Just wait until some actual results from CLOSED precincts get reported, and then wait some more for the results from Republican precincts get reported, and then wait some more for the fraud to come rolling in, and then tally it all, and we will have a good idea of how things are shaping up. Don't even look at any results until 8pm eastern, anything earlier is calculated only to keep you from voting. After 8pm, retain that grain of salt. We are well on the way to a big, and early night. After it becomes clear that the Dims will lose, they will report the actual results, and you will be able to get to bed by 10 or 11pm eastern.

Now go vote, and get your (GOP) friends out there.

I've been following the Dow Jones index... it is remarkable how closely it correlates with my hopes of seeing Bush win. On the fake polls it went into free-fall, losing 80 points... started to rally as soon as the gender breakdown of the exit polling was well known. Amazing, the instant-reaction world we live in!

Why would is supress OUR vote? Wouldn't it supress the Dem vote, since they would find comfort in the good numbers and skip going to the polls? If anything, I would thing that Republicans would see the exit polls and run, not walk, to their nearest polling place.

Not how it works. If people think their candiate is losing they stay home. That is what the historical data tells us.

Yes, for political junkies it is, but more and more people who do NOT know the ins and outs are now getting things on the web and many of them can be affected by such.

I think they did the right thing. This way, the on-line community can debunk in time to prevent serious consequence. Just think what might have happened if the MSM leaked those numbers later in the day with no time for fact checking.

You know these numbers would show up no matter what, so it's better to get them pushed aside early.

It should'nt cost any votes after all it was all within a 30 minute time period. Hey and not voting because of the news reports is no excuse. Not only is this a national election its also local elections at stake.

But I don't see Republicans as being as easily swayed into staying home as Democrats. We ARE smarter, y'know.

Anybody that doesn't vote "because" of the first round of exit polls wasn't going to vote anyway, they were jjust hunting for a convenient excuse.

I am not going to make it another hour, let alone until polls close.

Step away from the computer. Pour yourself a beverage. The first polls don't close for nearly 3 hours, and they're safe Bush states.

No need for any Freepers to die of strokes or heart attacks this afternoon.

You bet they did. Screw 'em. They don't even note a 60 to 40 ratio of women to men before posting that garbage. This just made me more angry - focus our energy and Bush will be elected tonite.
