Does anyone care to predict the popular vote for Tuesday?
Posted on 10/29/2004 10:24:01 AM PDT by gopie
Hi all, frequent lurker, first time poster.
Does anyone care to make a prediction for how the popular vote will swing on Tuesday? Swing states are too hard to call.
My prediction: Bush takes the popular vote by 4 points, 52 to 48. My fruitcake office mate claims Kerry will take it by 10, but he drinks heavily at lunch and his opinions don't carry much weight :-) Anyone else?

Clinton only got 49% against a weak opponent, Dole. Bush is a running a strong campaign. Kerry gets 45-46% tops. Remember that Clinton only got 43% against Bush I.

The longer it takes to post responses the more likely.

Bush 53, Kerry 45, Others 2
For EV, I'm sticking with my first uselectionatlas.org prediction. Bush 322, Kerry 216.

Bush will take the popular vote by at least 5% and will win 40 states. From your keyboard to God's eyes!

I love the map, but don't you think Hawaii will go for Bush?

It'll be close, but I made this map months ago, before I think even one poll was done for Hawaii. My current prediction map (which you can see on my profile page) has Hawaii going for Kerry, but it's a tossup state.

53/46 minus 3% fraud. Make it 51/49.
