](AP) 29 Oct. from the NY Times Today Presidential candidate John Kerry leveled serious new accusations that President Bush was directly repsonsible for the four hurricanes that struck the Florida coast with such devastation. Kerry said that the President failed to insure any hurricanes didn't form in the south Atlantic, posing a serious threat to the U.S. Kerry went on to say, "This President is derelect and failed the American people by allowing these storms to come ashore. Had I been President, I would have consulted with our allies and the U.N. and we would would have created a tougher, more efficient, Hurricane Proof Plan that would have predicted the exact date, time, and place of their arrival. Together we would have persuaded God not to send the hurricanes in the first place!" Finally, Kerry stated that he had voted against the federal disaster relief before he voted for it.

Why would you even THINK that this merited placement in Breaking News? We have folks following every movement of the campaign, and you put a deceptive humor post into a sidebar? Will you folks friggin' THINK before spamming stupid vanities into the forum at a time like this?

Problem is, Democrats in FL have already blamed the President for the hurricanes. No joke. They cite Mr. Bush's environmental policies on global warming as having created "stronger storms".

A man or woman who would lend credence to such a notion should be left where you found them - on the doorstep of the asylum..............

Sorry dude, didn't mean to ruin your important day. Get a grip, man, it's an election, it's not your life. This forum functions effectively because folks follow the posting guidelines. And this is a critical time for a lot of folks. Why did you think your attempt at humor merited breaking news standing? Don't you think that folks looking at the sidebar without opening your post would believe that Kerry actually said that and could possibly be misinformed by your action?

The Breaking News sidebar is reserved for only very big events. Let's keep it that way.

No one in their right mind would think that. Do you work inside the beltway? You should really get out more.
Notwithstanding your rudeness, I'm still learning how this forum works and if I screwed up, I won't do it again. Thanks for kindly showing me the ropes.

No one in their right mind would think that. < Do you work inside the beltway? You should really get out more. The point is, the Dems are deranged enough to say just that - they've taken out billboards in Florida blaming Bush for the hurricanes. Oh, you didn't know that? You should keep up more with what's going on. It's entirely possible that Kerry would claim this, given all the other nonsense he's spewed.

Rude? You didn't even get a quality insult. You got off easy.
We've been overwhelmed with vanities. There is a reason for the rules, and please also think about placement. That's what is supposed to separate us from the libs - we think through things.
