Sky News reporter sparked fear with his audience when he started talking about election day attack.
thats it....from now on post have to be semi-lucid. What are you babbling about???????????
If we are to believe what was said in the ABC tape, nothing will happen until the results of the race are known.
Yawn
This guy sounds like CBS material.
This guy was talking about stuff that wasnt released untill 630 Pm on ABC unless morning over in England just happened then?
Some Brit moron off camera was caught babbling about a spectacular terrorist election day attack in the USA. Makes good head lines, eh?
PLEASE!
Learn to post a thread correctly.
Thank you.
MORGAN'S TERROR GAFFE |
The former Daily Mirror editor, who is standing in as a presenter on the daytime show, didn't realise his comments were being broadcast live on air.
Morgan and co-presenter Fern Britton were filmed during an ad break for Trisha, the show which precedes This Morning on ITV1.
The pair were supposed to tell viewers what was coming up in the programme.
Instead Morgan was seen declaring that al Qaeda planned a terrorist attack to disrupt the US presidential election.
"I tell you what, I would brace yourselves for something in the next few days," he warned.
Britton asked: "Why?" and Morgan replied: "I just think that al Qaeda, with an election, I think they have been waiting for the election."
At that point a producer informed them, via their earpieces, that they were live on air.
A startled Morgan had time to utter: "Good morning! On today's show..." before time ran out and viewers were taken back to Trisha.
When This Morning began 15 minutes later, the embarrassed duo apologised for Morgan's outburst.
"Don't panic, nothing is about to happen," Britton told the audience.
Morgan explained he was referring to a leaked CIA report expressing fears about a terrorist attack in America before the US election.
"I don't know anything, so if any of you are worried that I have any inside information about any terrorist attack, I don't. We were just having a little private conversation."
Morgan, who left the Mirror in May after publishing faked photographs of British soldiers abusing an Iraqi prisoner, added: "Trust me, nobody tells me anything any more."
"If we are to believe what was said in the ABC tape, nothing will happen until the results of the race are known."
You read way too much into it.
There is no indication that this tape pre-supposes ANOTHER
Bush victory. (There is already been a Bush Victory...!)
What the hell are you talking about with my thread. Just how would you post it. The point is this guy seemed to have info despite his reputation. If someone is reading this a different way it is not my problem.
When, when will the Vanityville Horror END???
My point is just like the NY Times and CBS are collaborating with each other the same is probably the case with many journalists sharing damaging info.
To think otherwise would be foolish despite my misinterpreted thread.
I found it simply ironic that this fella was stating a lot more than the average person knew?
1. USE THE ORIGINAL TITLE!
2. Post an excerpt of the story.
3. Make at least some sense.
p.s. Reputation? What reputation? And where did that bunny with the pancake go?
All right, smartass.
You want my opinion? You're sure as hell gonna get it.
Honestly, one would presume that you've paid at least a little attention to how threads are posted here since signing up on 2/21/2004.
Below is what I'd do, since you asked. It's quite simple, actually:
1. Post the ORIGINAL TITLE:
MORGAN'S TERROR GAFFE
Your title, "How did this guy from Sky News predict this without inside info?" isn't even close.
2. Post the COMPLETE ARTICLE.
SkyNews (Sky.com) is not on the Updated FR Excerpt and Link Only or Deny Posting List due to Copyright Complaints.
If you don't want to believe me, drop some of that attitude on the Admin Moderator.
He'll be more than happy to straighten you out.
Regards,
CD
Also, a tip about the English language: Use question marks when asking a question; use periods (or occasionally exclamation points) when you are not.
Yeah, what Constitution Day said...especially about the whole article (I was too lazy to look up the excerpt list).
The article wasnt worth posting by itself. It wasnt worthy of its own post. The guy made an odd prediction that was worth posting while the article wasnt. Am I going to be arrested for not being politically correct here.
Give me a frikkin break
