E.D. Hill on Fox News was wrong about her Barbara Bush Story!
Fox&Friends ^ | Fox&Friends

E.D. Hill’s told a story today on Fox&Friends about Barbara Bush that I don't believe ever happened.

In order to be “fair and balance”, she came up with a story about Barbara Bush, Connie Chung, and Geraldine Ferraro.

She said that Connie Chung asked Barbara Bush what she thought of Geraldine Ferraro and Barbara Bush said she couldn’t say it. Connie Chung said to whisper it in her ear and then Connie repeated that it rhymed with "Witch".

Now I remember when this incident happened. It was Newt Gingrich’s mother (not in politics) and she was talking about Hillary.

I don’t believe the same thing happened with Barbara Bush!

It was Newt Gingrich's mom talking about Hillary.

Sorry, but even Barbara Bush has this story in her autobiography. I love Barbara, but this was perhaps not one of her best moments. Everyone slips once in a while. Now, TEREZA, she slips every time she opens her mouth !!

I thought I remembered Barbara saying something like that, though, as well. I do remember the Connie Chung incident with Connie chung as well.

E.D. confused the two incidents. Barbara Bush did indeed describe Ferraro as a word that rhymed with "witch." Newt's mother also said something like that about Hillary to Connie Chung.

I think it did happen with Barbara too.

http://www.keithboykin.com/arch/000858.html

"During her interview last night, Barbara Bush described the Democrats vying for president as a "sorry" bunch of candidates. We should not be surprised. The mainstream media may try to make her out into some modern day Mother Theresa, but those of us who have been watching over the years know that's not the truth.

We remember her comment to the press after her husband debated Democratic vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro in 1984. When asked what she thought of Ferraro, Barbara said she couldn't say it on television, but it "rhymes with witch."

Ever notice how after she had her last kid, she never covered the early morning hour. I'm not sure if she's started to again or not. Bet Steve & Brian loved that. Talk about special treatment.

Thanks for that thoughtful input.

ED Hill is a mother of 9 children and one of the most articulate women on FOX news. We generally like her around here.

It might be an interesting Steel Cage match between Tuh-Ray-Zuh and Barb Bush the elder.

Sort of the "two women enter, one woman leaves" from the Mad Max Thunderdome movie.

When Babs (played by Mel Gibson naturally) slices up the Tuhrayza fighter, her mask falls off to expose the infantile doofus within.

Something like that....

Ditto that. She opens her big mouth without checking out what actually happened. It was Newt's MOM.
