Cats respond better to women than men. One reason this might be is that women have higher pitched voices than men.  The Queen of the Universe (17 years old and still going strong) prefers my husband or brother. I am only here to fill the dish and clean the litter apparently. And those guys didn't come into her life until she was fairly old. Some thanks I get.
