This is my first Vanity post. But I was listening to Fox and Friends and they had the blowhard O'Reilly on. And if I heard him right he said that if Bush doesn't win the next debate that the election is Kerry's. Now I might have heard him wrong but if he really believes that the outcome of the election is hanging on a townhall debate I think he's smoking more than what he accused Drudge of smoking. I'd like to hear opinions.
OReilly has really lost me lately. I heard his interview on one of the alphabet stations (last week I think ) and it was actually quite a liberal leaning interview. It exposed him for someone that is more interested in selling books then the truth.
I have enjoyed him over the years but his dance back and forth and saying it's a no spin zone is pretty hollow. He might be an independent but it's really starting to show (by the topic of your vanity) that he is one of those "stupid" undecided voters. OK, maybe I am being cruel but people either "get it" and understand why we're better off with Bush or they don't.
I think the undecided in this country are the folks that probably have very little reason to vote b/c they don't follow the truth, only the spin.
That could be the source of his comment.
Bush is going to do great at the town hall. I do think it's important for him to do well but I do not think it matters and here is why.
I think Bush did awful at the first debate, yet the media said it was a draw. I think VP clearly won his debate and a lot of people think that too was a draw. It doesn't matter. Bush can knock it out of the ball park and it will be a draw.
Good vanity. I would like to hear more about what people think of OReilly. I don't care for his show any longer. Don't care about his ideology- I just don't really care for his over marketing of himself. It gets old.
Is this true?
Just how ignorant does the lamestream media think Americans are? The election is already ours, with or without the next two debates. What a bunch of politician we have posing as journalists.
Don't listen to him anymore ... can't help you with your question.
OR is smug, talks down to his guests and offers no insight. He's a politician in journalist's clothing.
So, could OReilly be considered a FLIP-FLOPPER? He took tons of money from conservatives buying his books and then donates to Kerry ... Hmmm?
I haven't watched him in over 6 months, but I do enjoy Fox and Friends. If I knew he'd be on I would have changed the channel.
Pacifist Bill is pulling for John.
I expect O'Reilly to someday stand up on live TV, pull his penis out and proclaim he is hung like a horse as we all stare at a peanut.
I would like to know if this is true or not as well. I guess we go to a donation link, right, since donations are public? Anyone? Anyone?
Attract names in the news, grill them, overtalk them, interrupt them, agree or disgree with them according to what will create the most sensationalism or tittilation and then sign off with smug or sarcastic answers to viewers' emails.
O'Reilly is devoid of core principles which people such our president has and sticks to like iron.
It's my opinion that most people are tiring of the constant drumbeat of tabloidism ruling the airwaves the past decade. The world is a serious and dangerous place. While folks still enjoy good entertainment, the tabloid and shout shows are becoming rather sickening. On these programs, moral relativism, situation ethics, amorality and personal destruction and self-destruction are king.
I rarely watch the tube any more at all except for a few rational programs of entertainment, news and history.
Tabloid Bill, should he keep up his present irrational course, will soon find himself with few viewers and even less respect than Rodney Dangerfield's fictional persona.

"The Leprechaun's ratings go into free-fall"
Wouldn't it be ironic if there was a Whore'Reilly boycott?
It's true, I saw it myself. I wish I would have saved the URL.
I believe you saw it, I just want to see it for myself, with my very own eyes before I curse him to hell. I'm on Google right now trying to find some information. Thanks for the heads up.
"LET'S TAKE HIM OUT! We need Laura Ingraham in his time-slot anyway"
Boy, she would be a breath of fresh air. Think I might call and write up on that one. You know what makes a lot more sense to me now, in light of his "revelations"? The Swiftboat Veterans and how he never gave them a chance nor the respect they so whole-heartedly deserved (and still deserve). Shame on him forever!
How do the saying go? When you don't stand for anything you stand for nothing.
Just last night he made the big announcement. This morning on Fox and Friends they were joking about getting a new carpet installed on the O'Reilly set to spruce it up for the occasion.
