HELP NEEDED: What is the nastiest, skin-staining substance known to man?
10-6-2004 | VIet-Boat-Rider

Help needed:

One of my neighbors continues to destroy my Bush yard signs. I am in search of a substance that permanently stains the skin so that I can put it on my sign.

Does anyone know what the best thing to use is?

How about putting a spotlight on it? Or, put a motion detecting device (see Radio Shack) connected to a spotlight. If you want to get really fancy, connect a camera to the motion detector. You may get some pictures of various urban wildlife along with your liberal thief.

Or ask a pharmacist for the purple stuff they used to paint throats with back in the old days.

That would be gentian violet. Should be available over the counter.

Rig your sign with a little alarm that goes off when it is touched. Scare the crap out of anyone...

I was thinking of mixing it with axel grease to keep it stuck to the sign until they touch it.

Gentain Violet sounds like the stuff I need.

Don't know the name of it, but there this stuff you can get at your local garden store that acts like fly paper. It's a clear liquid you can paint on the sign. Once your neighbor touches the treated sign, it will take him hours to get the stuff off his hands.

I like the "Starship Troopers" version.

I live in Seattle and we are having a terrible time with the Bush signs being vandalized. This approach was discuseed on one of our local talk radio shows.

Heck, just get one of the cheapy game cameras. They're made to photograph the nocturnal stealing habits of roaming liberals.

Whatever you do, don't put a sign in your window -- somebody could break the glass. Also be wary of chaining the sign to valuable trees or shrubbery that could be cut down.

Put up a metal sign, and hook it up to an electric fence energizer. Make their day. If the cops come by, tell them the sign is designed to keep VARMITS out of your yard.

I was coating some traps for my fruit trees. I ruined a pair of jeans, a shirt, and it took a bit to clean off anything else I touched.
