Ok. I just washed dark clothes right? DARK clothes. And remember, we have no dryer, so anything linty gets lint all over the clothes and the clothes dry with the lint on them instead of it being removed in the dryer.
So I washed the dark clothes, including one pair of Steve's jeans, which I SWEAR had an entire roll of toilet paper wadded up in the pockets.
Sigh.

Oh, yeah, barf-rags are really important. Since it's the first kid they won't appreciate it until after the kid's here, though.
Cloth diapers do work great, and they're easily washable. Plus you can give them safety pins and some enviromental nonsense and convince them to use the diapers instead of disposables. If you're evil.

I guess I can call myself fortunate. Worst ones we had were one colicky baby and one baby that would NOT sleep through the night for about the first three years of her life. I actually slept on the floor in the boys' room for a year or so 'cause I couldn't hack it anymore. Every morning at two or three she'd wake up and scream for no reason.
We tried keeping her up during the day to no avail. Did make for some comical dinner performances, though. She'd literally be nodding off in her mashed potatoes sometimes.

Hehe... I was lucky, while we three girls did share a room at various times (including one time when I was sleeping on a mattress that got shoved under the bunkbeds during the day) they slept pretty well... evil brother #3 was apparently a bad sleeper, but the boys were a floor away from us at that point.

I always loved the soft, stuffed rattles. When the baby starts learning to grip, he can shake that thing all around. Many times the baby will hit himself, but with it being soft, it doesn't hurt, and it makes such a neat sound cause they have either a rattle or a jingle bell, which is fun.

If you're evil.I discovered that disposables were likely much better for the environment because to avoid the baby getting diaper rash, you had to wash the diapers in hot water, then rinse them in another full batch of hot water to get the soap residue out of them. What a waste of water, natural gas and electricity!!!
