My neighbor's dog brought home a human skull, what

Posted on 09/27/2004 12:19:18 PM PDT by jilley

should I do? We live out in the country and the dog brought it home a few weeks ago. She says she wants to keep it for decoration and it is now stuck on her fence post. When I take her the paper every day, it creeps me out. Her dog is always leaving deer horns in my yard also, so it must be out there killing deer and breaking their horns off.

Ever see Fried Green Tomatoes?

Yeah, but I was thinking of Sweeney Todd.

Along around post 122 Jilley tells us that she called her neighbor, and has been informed that it is a monkey skull, not a human skull. So, we can all relax now!

I'm sure that there is a band of wild monkeys in the area, and the dog just happened across a skull from a deal one. No big deal...

The police still need to know about this -- it might solve an old "missing monkey" case.

I'll bet the newsrooms at the Boston Globe and CBS are having a good laugh about this one....

FR survived the "All your base" madness, it will survive this. :)

Nah, my brother is just this Aspergers type that is compelled to view everything from a rational level and was fascinated by the technique of shrinking a head.

I just saw my neighbor go out to the drive and remove the skull from the fence and put in a bag. I think I might have made her think that it was scaring me or something. It was just a monkey skull, so I feel better now. Thanks again to the nice people. You jokers that think your funny, are not funny. Some people have serious things happen in their lives and need some advice.

I just spoke to the neighbor. She said it's not really a monkey skull, it's a squirrel's tail or an old tire or something.

It's definitely not a human skull and she doesn't even have it anymore, she threw it out and she never had it and she doesn't know what I'm talking about and I better stop calling her or she'll hang my skull on the fence next.

"Her dog is always leaving deer horns in my yard also, so it must be out there killing deer and breaking their horns off."

Your neighbor's dog is "Cujo"?

"She says she wants to keep it for a decoration and it is now stuck on her fence post."

Are your neighbors, by any chance, named Morticia and Gomez; or Herman, Lilly, their son Eddie, and Grandpa?

I would call the authorities. It might be the remains of a missing person. With all the modern technology, they can ID it, or learn more about it, anyway.

You still have not explained where a dog would find a giant monkey skull.

I agree with the rest of the posters, call the cops.

UNLESS the skull has no fillings at all. If it's a native skull you could lose any property with Injun burial grounds. S^2 (shovel and shuttup).
