We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
CAT I HURRICANE JEANNE ADVISORY #32
DISCUSSION
...JEANNE SOLUTION NOW SOLID...ACTUALLY TO THE LEFT OF NHC TRACK...JEANNE WILL WEAKEN BEFORE REACHING NORTH CAROLINA, HOWEVER...
JEANNE is exiting the anticyclonic loop it has been in for a couple of days. All major models agree on a westward motion and a curve to the north at VT forecast plus five days. NHC has to maintain continuity with previous forecasts, so they admit their track is quite probably insufficiently far enough west. JEANNE will be pulled up into a trough between a HP center to its east and west at VT forecast plus four days.
So we're back to where we were around a week ago--the primary threat appears to be to North Carolina's Crystal Coast and Outer Banks.
Intensity is another issue, however. Dry air appears to be reaching JEANNE from the south and is inhibiting development. There is also shear over the system, which appears to be subsiding. Model guidance suggests a modest increase in strength through VT forecast plus three days, and then a gradual weakening.

In the news...
And in a bizzare new twist to Rathergate, the purveyor of the memos to CBS, Mr. Bill Burkett, plans to sue the network for defamation of character and libel.
Turns out that CBS was supposed to protect the anonymity of Mr. Burkett and "expend both time and money authenticating" the memos they were provided.
Also, Tony Coelho, the former manager of Algore's successful attempt at becoming "the former next President of the United States," stated that the Algore campaign was also verbally given this information, but felt there was "nothing there" so they didn't pursue it.
Also, Mary Mapes, a producer at CBS News, passed the name of Bill Burkett on to the Kerry Campaign, it has been learned.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LOL!
Hopefully, Hurricane Lisa does even worse than I do in that respect!
Hey, when you google "H.R. 163 Kerry", it gives some good results.
Time for me to go to HGTV mode and try to relax. See everyone tomorrow!
The length of AIT depends on the MOS (specialty) chosen by the individual soldier. Medic training takes longer than most, I think.
Reserves may be different from National Guard as far as AIT is concerned. Basic would be the same, though.....10 weeks.
My computer is barely working. I'm amazed I was able to log on....hope this posts......
Hah! I told you so!
Aw, Mozie. What a bummer to be fighting computer problems.
I've still at my desk. Have more work to complete before putting the cat out for the night. A tedious project. I've been reviewing photos... The Chipendales are coming to our town and they can't bring the entire crew so I've been assigned to select which ones we want ;>)
I may check back in if I ever quit halucinating.
Checking out for the night. My computer work is finished, but there are tiresome details which I must complete in the morning before I can call this project finished.
Are you going to figure out how to post pics so we can help you decide? .... :^)
Good night! God bless you all!
Great picture. That color of red hair is also in my family. Cute baby too. My sister cut her baby's hair last week for family portraits. He looks like a little boy now, no more baby. :(
Good morning.
Hope you're feeling better, Jem.
Morning UG, we missed Ivan once more but we were keeping a eye on him cause we don't need his visit again, going into Texas I see.
Big problems for me yesterday, I sliced my hand on my tractor and bled like a stuck hog, had to go to the doctor and get it patched up, took over two hours to get in to him and nothing for pain but did get a clean towel to hold it on the cut, hurt like you know what. This means I will not be working on my place today but need to get a haircut anyways so, off to town I go when it gets daylight and the place opens.
Wow, sorry about your accident, Toby. Hope your hand heals quickly. Take it easy.
I'm up extra early to fill in for a guy who cut his toe with a power tool.
Do I know him? Both of us are careless.
