gran, they will probably just get some dozers and push the sand back in. Most of it is resting just at the edge of where the waves used to break, making the beach about three times as wide as it used to be. Then they will put up sand fences and plant sea oats to help rebuild the dunes.

The scenes here are mild compared to what others suffered. Most of the property damage here was in missing parts of roofs and in ruined carpets. I was so lucky. Not one drop of water entered my place. There are whole buildings where all carpets are being ripped out and much of the furniture is ruined.

I read CBS was trying to put up another hit piece on Bush about false documents leading to the Iraq war, but now they are waiting.

By the way, sharky, after the storm took down all the boardwalks there was enough lumber on the beaches to build several houses.

Just the condo.. we still have the house. (we got an offer we couldn't refuse) and we got sick of dealing with real estate people for renting it.

Oh good.. so it's still there and just in temporary sand bars. That helps a lot.

I just don't know how or when it will all be rebuilt, Pup. I've seen a lot of the damage, and it makes my heart hurt. How do those poor people go on?

Then you see places like Haiti and the loss of life and how they're living. It's so heartbreaking. At least over here we have insurance and a government that will help the needy. How do those poor souls go on? I don't know how they will live thru the disease now on top of it.

They think they're Goth but aren't.

Has your vet told you to exercise Kearen? I've tried everything - put Tank on a leash, chased him around the house with feather dusters, given him baths so he runs more... I can't hide the food because there are too many others, but I do dole it out. He even manages to break into cat food cupboards!
