Amazing how modern "activists" manage to view historical figures not only in terms of today's concept of acceptable behavior but also against the activists' own warped standards of what is right and just, ignoring contemporary customs and inventing new ones (just as they invent new hyphenated names for themselves) far beyond the mainstream.
The street name change fad has helped to destroy a part of history that did not need changing.
I'm up to speed on the FSP, but those NH winters are a bitch...
Thanks for bringing the information here - maybe someone, more hardy than I, could make the move to Liberty.
Never got stuck at Donner but did have to wait a few hours at Tahoe while the road crews blasted a potential avalanche away. I once got snowed in at a cabin near there on Memorial Day!
:)
ID and MT and all other states were open to a vote of the FreeStater's, but NH was the eventual winner.
Of course, my thought was that Texas could just go back to being a Republic, instead of a state of Mexico.
*SMOOOOOOOOOOOOTCH*
How fun! I like the deep emerald pools in parts of the lake, and also the cross-country skiing.
I think I'll make Terri's receipe for my dad - God knows I've got half the ingredients.
Thanks for the reminder.
Wow, interesting. I read some of the FAQs about why NH was selected. I like the state a lot, but probably wouldn't last one winter. If I'm going to be frozen, I need mountains. LOL about Texas - good one!!!
Thre are mountains in New Hampshire...and they're quite beautiful as I recall.
No plans are wonderful plans on the coast.
He should have used the Hamster-Manuver on the poor goose.
Ooops - I should have specified "real" mountains, over 10,000 feet high. I continually have this argument with my husband.
.....Westy....
Some of my dates shook.
Hahahahhaha. Yeah, poor fellow, he thinks there are "mountains" in Indiana. I think there were thousands of years ago. I personally like mine geologically younger and not so worn down: rugged, jagged, isolated, and high. Like Barrancas del Cobre!
.....Westy.....
Filets are pricey - but if not now, when?
Great job with it.
*sigh*
Been an ODD day to put it lightly.
Indeed it has. I was assigned a new case. I looked up the address and decided to check it out at lunch time. Turns out to be the neighbor on one side of me. That means that I know 2 out of 3 of my immediate neighbors have open protective services cases on them....with at least 2 more in close proximity. I need to ask to switch cases with someone. I make it a policy not to be the caseworker for neighbors. In fact, I would just as soon they not know what I do.
