Date-Milk Energy Shake
4-5 whole dates
1 cup whole organic milk (un-homogenized if possible)
1 pinch cinnamon powder
Boil the milk until it creates foam. Turn off the heat and cool until the temperature is comfortable for drinking. Combine the milk with the other ingredients and blend until the dates are ground up. Drink it warm in winter and at room temperature in summer.

For a second there, I thought it said, "Ever date a shake?"
And one of my ex-girlfriends popped to mind.
Then I re-read it and it said, "Ever shake a date?"
And why yes, I did.
She laid there like a dead thing and I had to check her pulse.
I really should either invest in new eyeglass lenses, or get more sleep.

The almond plant had all sorts of flavored almonds from barbeque to honey roasted. I loved that place. As for the mining towns, I loved to visit them and always stopped at Placerville (Hangtown) when traveling to and from Lake Tahoe.

"It must be rather disconcerting to be on a date, and have him start shaking! I'd be wondering if it was something I'd said." ROTFL!

"Oh just tell us, Mr Kerry, that YOU have ever helped either of your rich wives peel potatoes and carrots for the stew?" What are the odds that either of Kerry's wives ever peeled potatoes and carrots or made stew?

But I understand that now Sutter has been declared a big criminal and street names must be changed to appease the pc police. My sister Dana and I were born at Sutter Maternity Hospital in Sacramento.

You were - uh oh! Wonder what it will be called now. I know that streets all around there (including Davis where I went to college) are having to change their names. Good thing I was born at Children's Hospital. So far, that is still allowed.

Here's just one of many GAG ME articles:
http://www.newsreview.com/issues/sacto/2004-05-06/news4.asp
"John Sutter, despite being revered as the embodiment of Western individualism and entrepreneurial savvy--his discovery of gold kicked off the Gold Rush and the settlement of the West--is not a proper namesake for that street, say activists, who want the name changed."

Astute observation re: goose-boy.
Solid thinking.

Absolutely love it. We'd stay there and hop over to Reno. Small town, historic buildings, old coin shops, a GREAT mining museum, nice views... I wouldn't mind living there, but it's a little dry for me.
So... I'm sure you've gotten stuck on Donner Pass before? We got stuck one time for nine hours! Six of us in a small car - we almost had to pull a Donner Party ourselves.
