"If possible, I dislike them more than the Clintons."

I know what you mean.

" If we can just get past this election, be allowed to have an election, and get Bush back in office, I think I'll retire from politics."

Been thinking that myself. My life was so much simpler when I just voted and didn't get involvedin the fray. I can certainly understand why some of the old timers get disgusted with the whole process and stay home.

Yeah, the RATs go illegally sign up felons and illegals to vote while working enthusiastically to disentrancise the military absentee vote, then have the audacity to scream "count every vote" and "voter intimidation at US! I HATE democRATs!!!

"Dems and prisons seem to go hand in hand."

That's because that is where most of them belong.

I've never been on an Amtrack train, but when I was a kid, I took several train trips on the old passenger trains. I loved them. The sound of the wheels on the tracks was soothing. I used to like going into the part between cars where they connect where the sound was really loud. And the dining car was great. It was nice to be able to get up and walk around. And that was back when service was considered important, so I was treated like a princess. You could see so much.

As a child in the 1940's, I once took the train from Atlanta to Florida to visit relatives in January. The train was filled with "snowbirds" going to winter in south Florida, was a wonderful way to travel, and its passenger cars extended well over a mile of track. The breakfasts were magnificent.

Back in the day when folks wore their best clothes, and really styled out whenever they traveled - it was a big deal to most people.

For hurricane fans, it is estimated that Ivan removed more than a million cubic yards of sand from this county's beaches. Some areas lost 30' of dune width. While sand is already being pushed back up onto the beaches by both waves and bulldozers, the dunes will take years and lots of care to reform. Waves put sand on the beaches but wind builds the dunes which are most important for protecting the homes along the beach.

Isn't it great Resty?

I have had very little sleep even tho I didn't watch all of the game. I couldn't sleep, because I kept yelling down to Al how they were doing. I didn't dare put in on in the bedroom because I was sooo afraid of jinxing them. I have a tendency of jinxing sports when I watch. I guess I'm a Jonah.

I am sooooooooo tired.. Definately taking a nap today...;)

No banana republic...The whole mess is going to collapse into chaos, just like when Rome collapsed...Who knows what will come out of it all.....My guess is an Islamic Empire....

By the way Whitey was about on my way down river....The Parks people were blowing leaves on the way back and no sign of a rabbit about....To much noise I reckon.....

......Westy.......
