Open Letter to the Democratic Party
To whom it may concern:
Be advised that the majority of Veterans and Independent Voters are fed up with your assaults on the Viet Nam Veterans that are exposing your “war hero”
When Kerry used his Viet Nam service as his central theme, he seems to have conveniently forgotten the insults he poured on us during the 1971 Senate Hearings.
It also seems that he has done everything to keep his “New Soldier” out of the hands of the general public, to include the latest PDF version on a website that is now blocked.
He says that he has support from Veterans; however, at last count, there were 38 military sites that had some form of anti-Kerry material and most of it was critiquing his “war record.”
You constantly criticize the Swift Boat Veterans and note that they had contradicted themselves in comparison to the “Official Navy Records,” but keep in mind that the real reason that Kerry was given a BYE on his shortened tour was to get rid of him. Anyone that injures themselves in the short span of four months is not worth keeping around. We in the Military would call him a jinx, and we do not relish keeping them near us for the simple reason they get men killed or wounded.
Now that the Navy is investigating Kerry’s “official records,” perhaps the DNC would like to clear up the many misquotes that they have been airing over the last several months.
Here are some facts to that may help you clarify Kerry’s “war record” and the reasons why the Navy is investigating his “awards.”
FACT 1: His first two purple hearts were self inflicted wounds and should not have been awarded – he NEVER had any lost time due to his “injuries” His third award is also questionable, since there may not have been any enemy no fire at the time he claimed to have been hit. It is unknown how he received the first two awards, because his immediate supervisor denied them. If you want to consider a conspiracy against Kerry that allowed him to get the awards, please refer to my comments about Jinxes.
FACT 2: His memories that were seared into his brain about his trip to Cambodia are fantasy tales designed to emit empathy when he was on the Senate floor in 1986. Keep in mind two important points – Swift Boats were NOT allowed to travel deep upriver, and NIXON was not even the President in December of 1968, or for most of January for that matter! LBJ (Johnson) was still the President during this timeframe! Kerry lied on the floor of Congress just to get empathy!
FACT 3: His Bronze Star with “V” for rescuing Rassman from the water was the only award given for this action. Of the three other swift boats, no one else claimed a special award for pulling men from the water. WE in the SF community find that very interesting and telling on the character of Kerry. It seems that he often volunteered to write the After Action Reports (AAR) for the squadron. The other boat commanders were more interested in the care of their men and boats, readily allowing Kerry to write the paper work that no real soldier cares to perform. Especially if you are in a combat area and want to make sure you’re ready for the next operations order. It becomes clear why he volunteered to write these AARs….It seems that he may have embellished his own stories at the expense of his fellow officers.
FACT 4: His Silver Star with “V” has three (3) revisions to the citation over a period of twenty years. That is very unusual, but the most disturbing part is that there is no V awarded for the Silver Star – it is a stand alone award that does not need the V for Valor – It is awarded for valor!
FACT 5: His greatest sin that has the most lasting effect on his character was that he turned on his fellow servicemen and called us all baby killers and committers of atrocities in Viet Nam. Now, I will be the first to say that there were some cases that occurred, such as My Lai; but to make a blanket statement in front of the Senate was way over the top of youthful zeal on his part. His continued discussions with the Communists in Hanoi and at the Paris Peace Talks made the war drag on and more men were killed and wounded as a direct result. There are many cases of the North Vietnamese stating that if it were not for the help of Hanoi Jane Fonda and Kerry, the war may have ended sooner and the successful outcome would have been to our side. Kerry’s picture hangs in the Hanoi War Crime Museum. The paraphrased caption? ‘This man helped us win the war against the American aggressors.’ I bet you don’t want that picture hitting the airwaves any time soon, but I don’t think that even Soros has the clout to get it removed from the Hanoi War Crimes Museum. But, as we have seen in his Ads, money talks.
Many revisionists have tried to put a different spin on this period, but TRUTH and History will stand the test of time.
You might ask - why are fellow Viet Nam Veterans jumping on Kerry?
It is simple, really! We know what happens in combat and understand why the Swift Boat Vets allowed Kerry to get a BYE on his short “tour of Duty,”
It was self preservation in the face of a bumbling WANNABE that had the chance to cause further harm to those around him.
We doubt that those that have NEVER served can understand that simple TRUTH.
And, please stop the LYING Mantra about the Swift Boat Vets and the rest of the Veterans who are not supporting your “war hero.” We have had enough of that BS and it really makes us madder than ever to stop him in his tracks.
Whoever is running your Party’s strategy has failed Propaganda 101. We see through it.
The TRUTH will always survive the BS and mud slinging – give it up while your Party still has a chance.
And you think that his "Tour of Duty" qualifies Kerry for this presidential post? NOT!
“Come back to God, and seek redemption,” as stated by the actor and Congressman, Fred Thompson, in “The Flight of the Intruder.” Force him to resign from the race. Hell, at this point, even Edwards and Hillary would make good candidates!
Otherwise, get set for a Nantucket Sleigh Ride with your candidate. I’m sure that the Swift Boat crews would enjoy pulling the whaler!

I would imagine the millions of men and women who served in the various National Guard units across the country aren't too pleased with Kerry, Kennedy, Edwards, McAuliffe, et.al. constantly claiming that Bush was a draft dodger, either.

It seems the Dems have made a poor choice, thankfully. Seriesly.
I'm pretty sure the DNC won't get it, they never have.(at least since the early 60's anyway)
If I had an iota of painting ability, I would have a picture of a jackass with manure behind it.
It would have a line to the donkey saying "This was the Democrat party symbol" and a line to the donkey crap saying "This is the Democrat party symbol under JF Kerry".
WOW. awesome. By the way, does anyone know exactly where was edwards during the vn war. my husband was drafted in 2/69 and i think edwards graduated then so what did he do during the war?
Shouldn't an organization that promotes the election of a known traitor against these United States to the post of Commander in Chief be investigated under RICO?

While I agree wholeheartedly with the author of this letter, he will grow older and grayer waiting for a substantive response from the DemocRATS on it. The last thing they want to do is answer anything. The only response he will hear will be the RATS attempts to discredit and destroy him.
sKerry is UNFIT to be Commander in Chief and that's the whole story.
If nothing else, an organization which uses forged documents to influence an election should be criminally investigated.
