I spent about ten minutes refuting a DUmmy....

Life is too short.

It was pulled between the time you hit "post reply" then the "post" to post your message.

"I spent about ten minutes refuting a DUmmy, and when transmitting the response, the response was, "Thread has been pulled."

I just had the same thing happen to me and it's so frustrating. I don't post often but when I do I put a lot of thought and time into it so when ready to post to be told it's a no-go is maddening!

To make matters worse, they don't even give you a clue as to the reason it was pulled. At least that would be some consolation. I am not one who is "up" on all things political though I am trying to learn more all the time, and this site is a big part of it, so I don't necessarily understand their reasons for pulling certain threads. A general reason given would sure help educate me!

There's a couple minute 'lag' time when we pull a thread or post. It's how the software of FR works.

I've had the same happen to me, in fact, it happened today with a headline about clinton having a heart attack. AT least I didn't spend 10 minutes on my post, thankfully.

Refute them with a thunderbolt, nothing else. Doesn't take more then ten seconds.

It was pulled after you started writing. It happens.

BTW, why did you post this one?

I authored a thread based on a Ted Rall column predicting malicious mischief from New Yorkers on RNC delegates, including STD-infected hookers who would eschew condoms when screwing perceived GOP johns. It vanished almost instantly. I wasn't aware Rall columns were banned from FR sometime earlier.

More aggravating than that was when I spent the better part of an hour on a thread that I put a lot of thought in, and put it in the "Editorial" category (not "Breaking News"). An hour later, it was removed from the sidebar, banished to "Bloggers & Personal." Other vanity posts are allowed in "Editorial" What was wrong with mine?

Happened to me just the other day. I was really giving the troll what for too. Went to post and *poof* thread pulled. Man, I hate it when that happens. Too many trolls, too little time.
