If Jim pulls a thread, or closes it down; why is it still visible at sign on to FR? I spent about ten minutes refuting a DUmmy, and when transmitting the response, the response was, "Thread has been pulled." Oh well.....

I spent about ten minutes refuting a DUmmy.... Life is too short.

Assume that DU threads won't last.

It was pulled between the time you hit "post reply" then the "post" to post your message.

I just had the same thing happen to me and it's so frustrating. I don't post often but when I do I put a lot of thought and time into it so when ready to post to be told it's a no-go is maddening!
To make matters worse, they don't even give you a clue as to the reason it was pulled. At least that would be some consolation. I am not one who is "up" on all things political though I am trying to learn more all the time, and this site is a big part of it, so I don't necessarily understand their reasons for pulling certain threads. A general reason given would sure help educate me!

There's a couple minute 'lag' time when we pull a thread or post. It's how the software of FR works.

To make matters worse, they don't even give you a clue as to the reason it was pulled. Short answer - ssdd - same sh*t different day.
The DU types are not worthy of precious FR bandwidth. I am sure there are other sites that engage them.

I've had the same happen to me, in fact, it happened today with a headline about clinton having a heart attack. AT least I didn't spend 10 minutes on my post, thankfully.

It is not one on one FYI. Thousands may read a particular post or reply. It may behoove you to respect that many on this forum actually think about what they say, and take the time to type it out, unlike you.

I don't necessarily understand their reasons for pulling certain threads. One reason for pulling a thread is when it's posted by an obvious DU troll.
Another reason to pull a thead is when it's a "Vanity" thread (like this one).
But "Vanity" threads aren't always pulled (like this one).
