The Hobbit Hole XV - Pass them by! Pass them by!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Pass them by! Pass them by!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Sigh... I'm just unhappy tonight because I've had to give up on getting this program turned in by the "extra credit" deadline, tomorrow at noon. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

And of course I'm watching sappy anime. Killing off one member is an interesting way to resolve a love triangle, no?

Of course, since this anime is about a girl and her friends, the happy cute angels of death, her love being dead may not be such a huge problem.

This anime is notable for having the only cat-boy in anime history - unless you count Kyo from Fruits Basket, which I don't. Lots of anime feature girls with ears and tails and little skimpy outfits, so it's nice to have guys suffer the same fate now and then.

Hmm... the neighbor seems to be moving some large heavy items in. He's been at it all day. How much stuff can he have? It took me two hours to haul everything in and I had a lot.

Nah, he has lots of friends helping. And there was a chick over earlier so I don't want to look interested.

Still, he's the only neighbor who's said hi. I don't think I told you about my weirdness the other day! was letting one of my friends in to start our study session and in the hall - this is inside the building - was accosted by a guy who... well, he didn't speak English very well. He asked if I could "let him in". After some work, I figured out he wanted me to let him into this other person's apartment.

It took forever, with him giving some rambling explanation about living there but they only have two keys, not three, for me to get the concept of "my key does not unlock your door" through his head.

Thank you for finding deserving troops to receive the knives. You now have two spares, so there should be no excuse for giving away your own knives. Please let me know when you need "refills".

Almost done with "Full Moon". Whew, I'm glad Takuto wasn't Mitsuki's father after all; that would have made it a truly twisted show.

Hmm... so, let's see if this has a happy ending or not...

Good Morning All; 57degrees, coffee has been sipped, the furry ones fed, Gypsy is ready, "Well, what are we waiting for?" Good question, we're off.

Is Gypsy planning on doing more gardening today?

Morning OT; LSA indicates "that's affirmative". We transplanted a couple of celandine poppies ('nother native MO species) and she split up a yarrow under the shingle oak in front. There will be plenty to share when your garden is ready.

G'nad; hit piece on the MDC in the KC "Red Star" today. The legislature and the Whining Coalation is still foaming at the mouth they can't get their grubby paws on the Conservation Tax money. "too much money for Conservation Dept while so many other needs are unmet like schools..."

RIGHT ON. That's the whole idea of the directed sales tax. We worked hard to get it passed and THEY can't stand something that works like it was supposed to.

Miss Cat was lounging on the veranda this morning.

I'm still looking for a place to garden.

Morning everyone.

Any word from Kevin?
It didn't lay a hand on us here in Miami.
