Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

"(where you been anyway Fedora?)"
Thanks for asking. I've been dealing with a personal issue that's better left for private discussion. Other than that I've been trying to finish this article series I've been writing, and I visited family and saw "Hero" this weekend. Hope y'all are doing well.

Prayers never hurt; thanks. Keep on funkling!

Mmmm...salmon! Sounds dang good to me!
I'm having spaghetti squash with alfredo sauce. The sauce is easy:
1 cup lowfat sour cream
1/2 cup part skim mozzarella
1/4 cup grated parmesan or romano
2 cloves garlic
salt and pepper to taste
You just heat it all until it's melted. Could also have it on pasta, but I'm trying to get back on the losing track, so squash is better.
I was kinda wondering if the sour cream would work, but it's very good!

What's a scuppernong?
It's a grape. We've got three vines behind TheHouse.
Gotta fix dinner, I'll catch up later.
To: Overtaxed
Gah... only about another... three hours and I get to go home.

Your Mondays are like my Tuesdays, I think.
I have work, then a short break for dinner, then class, then band practice / music night, depending on how close we are to a gig.
Basically my day runs from six to nine without much of a stop. Ick.

That's not a charge I will deny.
Today is one of those days that I ate in the company cafeteria for all three meals. (Did the cinnamon rolls count as a meal?)

Evenin' evellybody... [sigh] [sip].
Tryin' ta ketchup. Rosie: I didn't maybe go back far enough... but maybe you are staying right at Paradise lodge? Last I heard it was still a fully functioning lodge. It is simply staggering in terms of views and surrounds... and the lodge itself is chock full of atmosphere. Very cool place.
