Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Do we hafta assign you homework? Yeah, really. 'Course Fedora ain't been back so much since we assigned him homework...

I am not sure how to get .mac to post a picture so I can external link to us. And my HTML is a bit rusty. One of these days.. I do have some really good hiking pics from earlier this year. And some differnt hiking pics that have me in them.

I'll probably end up standing nervously in a corner with Dad and Margaret. That's why God invented wine...
Wine, weddings. Catholic or Protestant...it's Biblical.
To: Corin Stormhands
Exactly! There is no social ineptitude that wine can not make better... er.. cure? No, I guess 'make better' is more accurate.
To: TalonDJ
Excuses, excuses! ;-)
I'm hoping to get some good pictures if'n we EVER make it to hike Mt. Lafayette in Franconia, NH. That's the hike I've really been trying to get to do these past few weeks, but it hasn't worked out. Stunning views on the top there.
And I could get some recent pictures of me to add to my profile, instead of very old ones or bad ones. I guess I'm vain, but posting pictures from Entmoot when I've lost thirty pounds since then after SEEING those photos and being dismayed...just doesn't appeal to me.

To: RosieCotton
You should get some recent photos - I want to see the change!
I should get a new photo or two, too.

Heh...that's true! I hadn't thought of that...
Dad's Scots blood is running cold at the thought of the expense of all this, though. I mean...clothes (most of us don't have anything dressy), getting the six of us that are here all the way to Tacoma, getting hotel rooms, probably renting a car, eating (I have a feeling he'll show up at the hotel with a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter), transportation to and from the airport and parking while we're gone...etc., etc., etc.
The rest of us agreed the next wedding should end with a pizza party. With homebrew. Dad's gotten back into brewing...so it'd be cheap. ;-)

You should suggest to your dad and brother how nicely the WeddingCam worked for those of us who couldn't get to Weddin'Moot.

Do what the Mrs. does. Make black a staple of your wardrobe. Simple black dress, black slacks, couple of jackets. Vey versatile.
ohfercryinoutloud, I'm sounding like I should be on Bravo...enough of that...yer on yer own...

Single zeros are only "semi-precious."
You gotta go fer the hunnerts.
To: Corin Stormhands
Are they even semi-precious? They're more like rhinestones, IMO.
00's are semi-precious. Anything with more than two 0s is truly precious.

Yep, that's really him. Scary ain't it?
I've never seen someone fall apart so publicly, so fast. It's rather amazing. In spite of his need for heart surgery, Clinton has actually looked better in the past few years.
Gore must be on some series anti-depressants...
To: Corin Stormhands
Yikes! Looks like he's been dining with Michael Moore a bit too often.

I bet it's because, deep down, even he's glad Bush was President on 9/11.
