Good morning Chairman, thank you!
OOps I misread your report about the hurricane.

Finished my quiet time... a good time with the Lord, early so here I am.
Thinking of /John and IG as they are far from home... and prairieb traveling.
Hi Molly... many thanks for the good links you bring to us on a regular basis.
Have also been thankful and appreciative for the good links from Dog and AFPhys.
Good morning to you. How are you?
No beer last night, but oh what fun we had. We were laughing so hard my cheeks hurt....facial cheeks that is. :-)
Good morning,oldngray and Jemian
Now I'm angry.
Greenspan says Congress (insert Democrats here) has overpromised Social Security benefits.
It wasn't too long ago, the Dems were talking about the risk of private savings in the stock market, etc for retirement. And the government guranteed benefits were superior.
Kerry said he won't pay out more than we've paid in.
This needs to be fixed without breking promises.
Political Guns of Aug. are Firing Wash Post...
Gen McInerney: K. Testimony Treasonous I love the Gen....Newsmax
Many Dems in Fl may vote for Bush Tallahassee Democrat
K charges return focus to Cambodia war Phlly Inquirer
Douglas Brinkley Reports for Duty Weekly Scrapbook....as an amateur historian, Brinkley's role in all this fascinates me...his rep is definitely tarnished, if not fried.
Black pastors voting Bush??? Verrrrrrrrrrrry interesting
Lots of good info here, and there were more articles I just didn't have time to post...
Anyway, it's still August, and we mustn't get overconfident!!
Later all....
Onemore thing...Oneill demolished Bill Mahrer it sounds like, and ditto for Ben ginsberg vs Chris Bury on Nightline...
Well I do feel somewhat better this am than I have been. Am looking forward to Monday's visit to the doctor. Hoping to get some definitive answers to my lethargy, low BP, etc.
My children expressed anxiety yesterday because this is so unlike me. Am not getting out, no energy, though I have no pain or soreness... just no ambition... none.
Thanks for your concern and care. Thanks for praying.
Maybe your meds just need adjusting. Hope that's it. Meanwhile, take extra special care of self!
Nita, am so glad you're going to get together with IG! You 2 will talk non-stop...
harness for the cat...good idea, till. I do want to arrive in Oregon WITH the cat. LOL! (Otherwise, I'll be in BIG trouble with a certain son...)
OUCH!!!!
I first noted the phenomenon in the 1972 campaign. Few if any of the top editors or even reporters from 1972 are still around but perhaps history does repeat.
What happened in 1972, 1984, and 1988 is the media in the final days and weeks of the campaign turned on the Democratic candidate. Once the leftist media determined that the Democratic candidate was toast, they started to trash his ineptness, his advisors, and his inability to explain the liberal philosophy.
It may stem from a media belief that liberalism, when properly presented, never fails to move the public. The media tends to believe that the right only prevails when the inferior leftist candidates blows the election.
It will be interesting to see if it is true this year.
The media assumption is no Republican ever won an election.... it was the bad Democratic candidate that lost the election.
I look forward to increasing criticism of the Kerry Campaign as election day nears. It is an indicator of what the media really thinks will happen on election day.
Great links, Molly. Thank you.
Speaking of paradise, Chair, I thought it a good idea to hold a fund raiser here...to buy you a laptop...so when you're traveling (during hurricane season) we can get accurate updates. Nobody predicted Charlie making a right hand turn, or growing into a cat 4. Now Francis. Sheesh.
OK, I'll pitch in $20.
