I was just called by Barnes & Nobles to tell my copy of Unfit for Command was in and would only be held for 3 days due to such high demand. I will be going to pick it up after work. But, I ordered 3 so I could give the others away. I had ordered from B&N last week, yet, orderd from Amazon.com 3 weeks ago (and still have not received). The amazing part of this little story is I am in the middle fo reading THE FAITH OF GEORGE W. BUSH by Stephen Mansfield. I find myself laughing out loud as I read about W. Mostly, because I can relate to almost every aspect of his life. It makes me just love him that much more. Also, that we are both West Texans, and a lady in my church is quoted in this book.
Get it if you have not. It sure does explain why W has the faith of a mustard seed, and why He is not only Fit to Command, he is destined!!

Ooooh! GIMME
< |:)~
I ordered it yesterday from B&N. I liked hearing the part about the high demand.
I bought a copy at the Barnes & Noble in Washington DC. They had 3 copies behind the counter and none on the shelves.
I forgot to mention W and I voth have dyslexia.... that is why I have so many typos. I love being like W!
Ping. :^)
I ordered my copy from Amazon a few weeks ago and received the book last week.
there is an engineered shortage for this book, right during the time period when the public demand for it is at the highest. these stores hope it will "blow over" within a couple of weeks.
LOL, I needed that laugh.
I ordered my copy from Amazon on 8/20 and received it on 8/24 and it is goooood! Maybe they just didn't have it at the time you ordered it.
" these stores hope it will "blow over" within a couple of weeks."
Hehehe to that.
"there is an engineered shortage for this book"
Dang right. It started with an initial frist printing of only 50,000 copies, of which B&N/Amazon had nothing to do with.
How gratifying to hear stories of happiness eminating from B&N. Have to find new windmills to charge.......
I was just in Costco and the guy in front of me was buying four copies. I bought one and the clerk at the adjoining register broke and ran to get one. Apparently they had just been put out. People talking about it here in Tucson.
"The Faith of George W. Bush" IS wonderful, isn't it. He's a fine man-- flawed, of course, as we all are, but as some of us manage to do, when he knew better, he did better. I trust him.
Barnes & Noble called me today too. My wife went and got my copy and she is reading it first.
