I'm disappointed in B&D....no balls....goes that's why Ronnie Dunn's voice is so strong at medium high notes.

I would like to know who told Brooks his hair is cool? Its so 1991.

All-American Red-Blooded Pop Stars!

Was she a Red-Blooded American when she kissed Madonna on TV?

If you like I can show you a few more lewd pictures of Britney that would indicate that she is not a good representative of the GOP.

Your sarcasm is entirely appropriate. Hiring a bunch of trashy entertainers to appeal (so the country club wing of the GOP hopes) to blue collar whites negates the Republican Party as being the stronghold of traditional values. It is bad enough that conservatives have been mostly shut out of major speaking roles at the upcoming convention. To have well known actors and entertainers whose performances and/or personal lives are scandalous play prominent roles at the GOP convention will not endear the party to conservative Christians, a major bulwark of the core Republican vote. Just because, say, Jessica Simpson likes the President's stance on Arab terrorism, she is not qualified to represent the GOP before the world.

If we are looking at a close Presidential election this year, both parties had better work to encourage a high level of participation by their core constituencies. It is all too easy for conservative Christians to revert to their pre-1978 apathy if the Bush-Cheney ticket is seen as only minimally different from the Kerry-Edwards one. Having some sluttish singer given top billing at the upcoming convention will encourage the "there ain't a dime's worth of difference" mentality.

Whoops, my mistake. However, Kid Rock did perform at the same Super Bowl Show.

Remember Chaka Khan at the last?

I like her, stayed up to watch... but what a bad performance. By her demeanor, she made it clear that she really hated being there, held her audience in contempt. Very unprofessional.

Whoever they pick, I hope their heart's in it.

Dan

I can see "stars" being around for the "glitz" on the sidelines, but if the GOP really wants to bring sanity and morality back to this country, they need to bring it back to the conventions.

The convention is a POLITICAL function - a function of government, not a hollywood showcase. They need to stress that at every chance.

Yes, the people will probably NOT watch much of it because of the lack of bare breasts and crotch bulges, but in the back of their minds they will KNOW who is the more serious and honest party that is professional and will care for this country and its citizens over whatever the euros and other communists want.

We may lose some, I would rather that, than fall to the groveling level of the dnc.

Heather Locklear is also a Pubbie.

I'd like to see C.C. DeVille (on again off again Poison guitarist) at the convention. That would be entertaining...

Now CDB would put on a great show. CD and the boys are prob too conservative for the GOP, though.

I have a feeling Leno is a conservative. He is an equal-opportunity knocker, but I think his inner self is a conservative.

Kid Rock didn't desecrate the flag. He was expressing his patriotism, in his own odd way. He's what we call a South Park Republican. He might not be the example of family values, but he and many like him will vote for Bush, without question.
