Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
The second one was much better...and much bigger than posted here. 3 megapixel, if memory serves =o
That'd be why I cain't live in the middle of the country...
Well, keep me posted if they change their minds...sounds like they either need to be specific and since they weren't they need to let him play.
I'm afraid I currently find more comfort in that than Jr. or the Missus. I know, in the long run, this could be a good thing for him.
It's like Spidey said ~ sometimes you have to give up your dream to be who you are supposed to be.
Even tho we just saw that last night, I don't have a prayer that he'll make that connection.
The pics posted here are smaller and of less quality than the ones I sent my aunt...in the first one I actually replaced the original red-eyes with Eyes of Sauron :)
The second is the real pic, of course. This kid should have been the model for those cutsie-poo prints of little kids with HUGH eyes...
Mrs. English Teacher plans to address the inadequacies of the handbook...
Well, it's a hard situation. I don't have any wisdom to offer, I wish I did! Any allies at the school or advisors who can advise? Feeling bad for him is only so helpful, and that's all I can think to do. It does seem that the rule needs to be explored and defined for sure. If not, Jr will always wonder.
Well, he's got good parents making sure he doesn't get too far off track. I was a lazy, useless kid when I was his age and I haven't done too badly yet (the trick is learning that sometimes you have to work really hard to be lazy).
They'll definitely be able to help. I'm sure they have plenty of cases of this at the beginning of the school year.
I think our only chance is to ask for a clarification. If they say no, they say no. Then we'll move on from there.
The wheels are already turning in my head. We could do so many things differently if we went the homeschool route. But to do that, he's got to let go of football completely, or we'd be caught by the same rule again next year.
That's a decision he'll have to come to on his own.
That's what airports are for. :)
Yep, I remember exactly when I gave up the dream of being a movie star. I was in college and had never really been away from home before.. I started getting clues that things might not be as I imagined when I went to a drama department party and some of the partiers suggested I check out the attic. So I did. Saw an orgy. Sat down in shock right into a puddle of vinegar (don't know...don't wanna know.)
Then, right before I dropped out, I was up for a part. It was between me and another girl. The director asked me out. I told her "No" and the other girl got the part.
That was the end for me.
Well, if it turns out they DO let him play, I'd be sure to remind him of this situation if he starts letting classes slide THIS year!
I didn't do nuthin' except drop them in the mail. Thank the guy who screwed up the engraving.
And they're still pretty readable.
It needs to be clarified so it isn't a grey area he ponders.... After that, you might have to punt ;~D
But after graduation the girl I was dating was doing costuming for a summer stock company. I went up to see her and saw more than I needed to know.
I never dreamed of being a movie star tho. I had dreams of being a Disney animator.
Of course, majoring in art might have been a start...
I will, and I'll hope and pray he makes the connection.
Flag on the play!
Better safe than sorry, chica.
BTW, nice altitude snaig!
