Yeah, FMA'll do that to you. It's a most addicting little show ^_^ Sorry for not being on the threads often, the shear volume and frequecy of 'em is kinda disencouraging >_> I do need to try and keep up though.
Slave driver Mum makin' me get back to work now!

Corin ain't thuh one you'll hafta worry about...
Clare, does it just keep getting better? I read all the manga that I could find online so far. Ed is so cute!
Suzi, tell her nobody keeps up with the threads perfectly...
G'nad would be dangerous, but he doesn't have teenage kids yet, he probably still has hang-ups about rifling through people's stuff.
Pull!!!
True, he'll just blow it up...
Right... I think I'll see if Rosie wants to room with me. At a motel. Six miles away.
Nooooo...we don't like moving, no we don't!
Took one of my sons and a nephew to see Spiderman 2 yesterday. I liked it better than the first one.
Although I would like to hear a little more of Spidey's smack talk during the fight scenes. I seem to remember in the comics that he did that a lot.
Just curious, have you ever read the "Marvels" graphic novel, by Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross?
Yeah, Spidey's wisecracks are one of the best part of the comics, I wish they'd have more of that in the movies, too, though I can see how it'd be hard to depict in real-time. The one thing he said in this movie that I caught was when Doc Ock threw the cash-bag at him and as Spidey tossed it and caught it back he yelled, "Here's your change!" :)
Here's a classic Spidey smack talk I was reading recently, from issue #19:
Crook #1: It's--it's Spider-Man!
Crook #2: But we thought he was out of action!
Crook #3: Jameson's newspaper has been saying he's a phony--a coward!
Spider-Man: You believe it, boys! [Knocks three of them out with one move] But just imagine what I could do if I *wasn't* a phony coward!
I never knew a middle-aged, chubby, white guy could make such a tough villain. ;^)
"Cool! That covers some essential Marvel history."
There's some classic stuff in that run: Gwen/Goblin, Punisher, Jackal. One of the first Spideys I ever read was the Power Records reprint of #124 with the Man-Wolf so I'm kind of partial to that part of the series.
I never read the "Marvels" graphic novel--what's that about?
Even Superman has trouble with Lex Luthor, and he's a middle-aged, chubby, bald white guy. ;)

LOL! I actually have a hard time getting into Doc Ock as a villain in the comics. I always think to myself, "He doesn't have any super-strength--why doesn't Spidey just web up his glasses and knock him out with one punch?" The way they did him in the movie worked well, though. It was Octopus' threat to other people moreso than to Spider-Man that made him dangerous.
The elevator scene had me in tears.
Not listening! Not listening!
Skivvie man...nasty...tricksey...false...spoilses it he does...

LOL! BTW have you watched "Smallville"? I love the way they do Luthor there.
