Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Honestly Alkhin we had probably wait for you to start sending them. I haven't said anything but I am planning to be gone for about 6 weeks. So, I can't get them anyway till after August 23.

The average around town is about $1.75/gal. I paid $1.73 yesterday...

There is a parking garage basically right next door to Benaroya.... we could then meet out front by these stone thingys at whatever time Scott says, or we can just meet Ramius at Kell's.

And I am ~totally~ with you on that whole attitude towards work. I want a paycheck and a decent boss. Other than that, I'm just not interested in climbing the corporate ladder. You know, that's where the feminist movement really fell flat. Most women aren't looking for a career; they're looking for a job that doesn't suck and a decent paycheck. Their work isn't what defines them or affords them their self-esteem. They just want the money from the job that will give them chance to do things for their families and themselves that otherwise wouldn't be available.

It's ~always~ a good time to go nostalgic, chica. Not always on "Accompany Me". It's good tonight - but I wasn't going to all the lyrics.

Yes, we can pick you up at TGIF's by the Mall...let's work back, concert is 7:30, we'll want plenty of time so why don't we plan to meet at the Benaroya Parking Garage (the corner of 2nd and Union) by 5:30. That means Hair that I should pick up ecurbh and you by say 4:30 (traffic is liable to be a challenge) at TGIF.
If we wanted to get to Benaroya by 5 we could meet a bit earlier? Do you all want more time (more leisure) or less?
To: Wneighbor
Yipes! You going on vacation????
and how will the Hobbit Hole get on without you? :< :<

Whoa!!! Need that here!
Gas is still much more expensive in WF than in Waco. They've got some gas war corners in Waco. Haven't found any here. Sam's is still cheapest here. I filled up Saturday it was $1.74 for high octane.

Is that pretty much how last week's episode was?Stylistically, yes. They jumble up the action to make it difficult to tell how each team is doing, until the end. Sometimes a team will make a spectacular screw-up and it becomes obvious they're going to finish last.
If you mean the final results, it was kind of surprising... Donny and Allison were first to finish last week, and last and eliminated this week, that doesn't happen often!

If Ramius is at Kell's anyway, we could show up a bit earlier...I'm taking off work at 3:00 -- we could pick you up at 4 easy.

There are black stone thingys there in the pic! That's not a very nice thing to say about that lady's hairdo.

OK...let's meet Penny at the stone thingeys between 4:30 and 4:45 (depending on how traffic is)...so we'll pick up you and ecurbh a little before 4 at TGIF by the mall.
To: Wneighbor
That sounds a lot cheaper than here!
