You are SHOUTING. Please turn off the Caps Lock key
Damn tootin. Spot on assessment.
Actually, what she said was that if the GOP continues to "play nice", we can kiss the November election goodbye.
Although I am not a Republican, I think she's right about that.
I hate talk radio, but my wife and I listen to Miss Ingraham every weekday morning on 660 KSKY-AM out of Dallas. It's like listening to that funny, smart girl from college that you had a crush on.
Kinda nasal though. That could wear on you after a while.
Are you a liberal?
The whole problem with the Republicans are the RINO Republicans In Name Only who are really Liberals. They never stand up to the Socialist DemoRats. They support the Socialist the same way the so called Moderate Muslims support Wahhabism Terrorist by doing nothing to stop them.
Exactly. Nice guys usually lose. If the White House wants to lose this election, that's their problem. We can only do so much if winning isn't their top priority. Laura's right, they better wise up fast to the mood in the base in Karl Rove's headquarters.
Don't know how she can say something like that, but she's still wonderful. Ann Coulter has been committed some gaffes, too.
What happened to the confidence in the American People Reagan had? Bill Clinton, and George 41 taking a fall in '92, I suppose.
The President and the Vice President both graciously praised Headwards, yesterday.
And as for Captinn Queeg McCain, this guy still wants to run for President, in 2008. That may be the only reason he's supporting Bush now. Win or lose, he's well-positioned to take the nomination next time. Anyone care to name any GOP allstars for that race? Dr. Frist, maybe? Give me a break.
McCain is vain. A media darling. He tells them what they want to hear. That's why the Today Show had him on. We didn't see Katie and Zell together this morning, did we?
Meanwhile, when he's at a Bush Rally, he tells the crowd what they want to hear.
He just wants to be "loved" by all the people, all the time.
Looks like history might repeat itself. Don't come cryin' to us if it happens.
Dedicated Laura fan here although I don't get to listen to her show much since she moved to the AM. If she did say this it is an attempt to galvanize the President's supporters. As for McCain, he is the media's favorite 'Republican' and loves the spotlight. With party colleagues like him, who needs the Democrats?
Which "Two Johns" photo is she talking about? Trying to lock up the gay base are they?
She wasn't just criticizing McCain, she was saying that the entire Bush team needs to stop being subtle and telling jokes and should just come out and make the case for the president on immigration, taxes, jobs, and other issues. The consequences of a Kerry victory are so dire (as Ms. Ingraham says, "Hillary Clinton Chief Justice, Justice Larry Tribe", that Karl Rove needs to get the campaign machine rolling NOW and fighting back against the liberal media that is going to fawn all over Kerry/Edwards. The president cannot afford to fall 15-20 points behind, he needs to respond and respond effectively.
She's right. Bush has to take the offensive and draw attention to the differences between an America under Kerry and an America under him. Otherwise all those knee jerk democrats will just vote the ticket because their grandfathers were democrats and the conservatives will just sit this one out.
The real problem here is that McCain, Specter -- and a few other Republican Senators -- are adherents to the mostly obsolete philosophy that says that you don't speak ill of a senate colleague. Remember when Trent Lott got in trouble for that positive birthday remark he made about old Strom Thurmond's 1948 Presidential Bid? His Democratic Colleagues (and some of his Republican ones, too) just threw him to the wolves.
She DARES to criticize McCain?
Laura says she's not friends with libs.....but I remember her distinctly praising Terry McAuliff, who attends the same church with Laura (her inane comment) as such a good person and a good father.
UGH, DOUBLE UGH.....and she needs to see her hairdresser too while she's at it.
The President should be doing a lot better than he is. If he loses, the conclusion that can be drawn is he didn't get a lot done in four years in office. The tax cuts are nice but we have seen anything done to affect the growth of government in Washington? Is Rove heeding the danger signs?
Karl Rove is our problem. If Bush does win this election, we must flush out the current RNC political team from top to bottom to have a chance to beat Hillary in 2008.
The point is, Laura committed no 'gaffe' whatsoever. She's right, the Bush administration has and continues to do a horrible job of public relations, and despite an exemplary track record of accomplishments and a feeble pair of challengers, may still lose one of the most important elections in our history.
I saw Laura on Hannity and the Crypt Keeper with Susan Estrich (sp). Laura was great.
Speaking of Susan Estrich, I finally figured out who she reminds me of (her voice): Caroll Channing on steroids!
