Phoenix police arrested a Phoenix ice cream vendor Tuesday in connection with raping and impregnating a 9-year-old girl he befriended on his sales route, said police Sgt. Randy Force.
Adrian Gonzalez, 24, was arrested at his home at 4621 E. Hubbell St. and booked into Maricopa Countys Madison Street Jail in Phoenix on suspicion of two counts each of kidnapping and sexual misconduct with a minor, with a dangerous crimes against children classification, Force said.
On different occasions Gonzalez drove brown-andwhite vans in the area of 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road, near where the girl lived. Gonzalez befriended the girl and her siblings, and got to know her mother well enough to persuade her to let the girl accompany him on his route, Force said.
Several sexual acts occurred in the van, Force said.
"This subject intimidated the girl into silence by telling her he would kill her siblings and kill her mother if she told," he said.
The possible abuse came to light after the girl complained to a friend of what was later determined to be a pregnancy-related illness. The girl took a home pregnancy test and later informed the police of the rape, Force said. The pregnancy was confirmed by police, Force said.
The rape was reported to have happened in April or May, Force said.
Police fear there could be other victims.
"There could be other children out there that are just too scared to say anything," Force said.
Yes it is possible for a girl that age to have already started puberty. However, IMO her physical size is going to be a big problem carrying a child to full term and going through delivery.
Unfort, some girls begin puberty at a VERY early age. That actually runs in my mother's family and much to my dismay was passed on through me.

It was the repeated ice cream truck melody that possesed him...
I think maybe our friendly ice cream man is just about to gain another dependant. Of course, he may have some trouble paying child support on the $1.28 per month he'll be earning in prison.
Decisions...decisions...
I saw a news story about a cat up a tree,,should I post it?
It's news. It raises moral questions that should be explored. If you don't care to join the discussion, move along.....
More like the Van Halen song "Ice Cream Man."
If you want. I believe there is a "Misc." subject to post under.
Get over yourself. If are not interested in this post dont read it. Gee, wasnt that easy?
In this case, yes.
I am anti-abortion except in cases like this. A 9 year old? OMG.
This is why abortion should never have been either criminalized or
made a "woman's right". Should have been left to the states, and in turn to families, ministers and doctors, except that there shoul be some rights of unborn babies. This is much too complicated an issue to be cut and dried by the govt, courts, etc.
vaudine
vaudine
Sounds reasonable to me.
<< Let's pick a fight.
Abortion: yes or no? >>
Why?
What did the child do?

General, I think you must be "hopped up on the beeber" to ask that question here! To answer the question: yes.
I'm just curious, maybe I missed something. Maybe it has some relevence to Politics and conservatism, enlighten me.
Well, well, more benefits of mass illegal immigration. In a neighborhood in Phoenix that used to be decent, if not well to do.
Puberty is happening much earlier now. I believe the average age for onset of menstrual cycles is 9 or 10.
This dude needs toasting and stomping.
Fess up, General . . . you just got back from Tijuanna and you're stuned.
That's an improvement over what he makes as an ice cream man. It's amazing how some parents won't let their kids outside without level ten sunblock and adult supervision but the minute that bell starts ringing, the kid is allowed to follow the ice cream truck around the corner and out of sight without a second thought.
