Phoenix police arrested a Phoenix ice cream vendor Tuesday in connection with raping and impregnating a 9-year-old girl he befriended on his sales route, said police Sgt. Randy Force.
Adrian Gonzalez, 24, was arrested at his home at 4621 E. Hubbell St. and booked into Maricopa Countys Madison Street Jail in Phoenix on suspicion of two counts each of kidnapping and sexual misconduct with a minor, with a dangerous crimes against children classification, Force said.
On different occasions Gonzalez drove brown-andwhite vans in the area of 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road, near where the girl lived. Gonzalez befriended the girl and her siblings, and got to know her mother well enough to persuade her to let the girl accompany him on his route, Force said.
Several sexual acts occurred in the van, Force said.
"This subject intimidated the girl into silence by telling her he would kill her siblings and kill her mother if she told," he said.
The possible abuse came to light after the girl complained to a friend of what was later determined to be a pregnancy-related illness. The girl took a home pregnancy test and later informed the police of the rape, Force said. The pregnancy was confirmed by police, Force said.
The rape was reported to have happened in April or May, Force said.
Police fear there could be other victims.
"There could be other children out there that are just too scared to say anything," Force said.
I believe it. (I don't let my wife have a 9mm)
I can do a little pro bono work via Freepmail, if it's in an area where I have expertise.
Did Scott Ritter change his name?
I taught her how to shoot. I carry a Ruger P97DC in 45 ACP.
Actually I agree with all of that.
I don't think a 9 year old is equipped to carry a baby full term physically. This could very well risk her life.
FWIW, I used to be very pro-abortion rights (not activist in any way thank god) but realizing that most are done out sheer laziness and selfish, well that changed. But thanks for the pleasant discourse (which doesn't always happen in these threads).
I saw a news special about Soy products and how it's dangerous to give it to children. The estrogen stunts the normal growth of young males and accelerates the growth of young females. She said the only people who should be drinking soy milk should be women who are in menopause.
I didn't know a 9 year girl was even capable of getting pregnant. Pretty sick
The reincarnation of Mohammed?
Abortion: yes or no?
It doesn't have to be a fight. Not everything is black and white. This is definitely in the grey area, in my opinion. This is a case where I could say yes. But there should be no hesitation, because once it gets outside of the grey area, I would have to say no. And imprison the child molesting b******d for life, and not in one of those sexual offender prisons, either.
I am not even considering the sperm donor in my thoughts. I am soley thinking about the 9 year old little girl. If my own 11 y-o-d was to be raped and impregnated (God forbid), I would not dare force her to carry a child. My reasons would not be because the "father" was loathsome but partly that she is just a child herself. Because I would be responsible for her well being, the choice would me mine as well as the moral ramifications. She would not be culpabale.
If you have no interest in the article being discussed on this thread, why are you posting on this thread? I will never understand people like you.
(A) Having your grandchild killed would not help your child emotionally. What would help her (God forbid it comes up) would be showing her all love and compassion, AND teaching her to show love and compassion on her FELLOW-victim your grandchild ASSUMING that the physical issues could be coped with.
(B) You must face the fact that this line of argument completely destroys your pro-life creds. Here is how: your rationale is EXACTLY the same rationale behind literally about 99% of the 1.3 million abortions every year the (emotional) "health" of the woman. You are just caring about a smaller woman. Same argument, exactly.
The *only* argument that holds water against the pro-abort position is that you don't kill a child for being imperfect or inconvenient, or for having a rotten parent.
But that same argument is fatal to your position as well, as much as I can understand it on (and only on) an emotional level.

The crime that was committed against this little girl raises a number of moral questions, including the one that you posted. Both children are innocent and deserve to live if possible. The problem is the "if possible" part.
The pregnancy could likely jeopardize the young mother's life, and "which life takes precedence" is a question that even the most learned Christian scholars still vehemently debate. IIRC, Catholics tend to favor the life of the child over the life of the mother, and Protestants are less strict about allowing the unborn child to be sacrificed in order to save the mother's life. (To all: I could be wrong about this and if so I'd like to be corrected...gently. I also do not wish to start a flame war between Catholics and Protestants, please.)
I can not even begin to imagine what the parents (now made into grandparents) are going through. Should they insist their innocent daughter abort their innocent grandchild? Should they wait a little longer to see if she miscarries, rendering an abortion unnecessary? Could the miscarriage be life- threateneing? Should they insist their 9 year old daughter go through a dangerous pregnancy? If she does survive the pregnancy, will she ever be able to have children again? Should they adopt and raise their grandchild or give the infant up to be adopted by a third party? Would the grandchild be born healthy or with defects?
Would having their daughter go through with the pregnancy be considered child abuse by the state? If so, could their daughter be taken away from them and "persuaded" to undergo an abortion anyway? How would the community deal with a pregnant 9 year old and her parents? Would they have feminist protesters and news crews camped out on their lawn for the next 9 months?...
What a mess this perverted monster has created for this family!
It's likely that the parents (if the girl even comes from an intact family) are secularists, who will not have such moral debates raging through their heads. They will probably take the girl to the nearest abortion clinic and be done with it. That part of it anyway. The girl will still be scarred forever by what's already been done to her, and may be even further traumatized by the abortion.
I don't envy the parents' dilemma one bit. I honestly don't know what I would do in their shoes.
Dan, with all due respect - a nine year-old girl is not a woman. Not by a long shot.
I understand, but her body thinks she is enough to have a child. I know, that's 'way weird to me. It's on my list of questions to ask God.
It doesn't affect the reasoning.

Don't worry about cats and trees; the cats always get down on their own. Trees are not full of cat skeletons.
