Thank you all for coming! And for everyone watching and participating from home via that camera, we hope you can enjoy the day ~almost~ as much as being there!
since when is Dogwood Ridge a democracy?...
my authority is absolute... and my wrath (and body odor) are terrible... all shall love me and despair...
The rules are gettin' hard.
Garsh!
We sure loved havin' ya here (Goes for all the mooters).... There are always planes flying back here, and some kinda bed here you can have anytime, just so you know.
It was just a bit of fun.
Are you dis-invitin' us? Or just dissin' us?
must not comment...
"Are you dis-invitin' us? Or just dissin' us?"
Thought Dwarves were allowed to invite themselves to parties like Thorin & Co. did?--or do you need a Wizard to arrange that? :)
And very clever fun! I approve, as long as you don't get banned!
Good night, sir dwarf! Be sure to let me know if I can ever return the favor - haven't got an ax but I can get sarcastic if the occasion call for it.
"And I could spam."
Very sneaky, using your magic ring to pop in just as the Precious comes up :)
You've got a reply to your mail. Have a good night!
When one wishes to be in the company of dwarves (and c'mon now, who doesn't) it is best to allow the dwarves to issue the invitation. Don't forget what happened to the Fellowship when they wandered into Moria without calling first...
Then he might be interested in Shirestock '05'!

Okay, I think I get it--so the inviting yourself thing only works if the host is a Hobbit or Elf, but if it's another Dwarf the host has to issue the invitation?
uh...yeah...purdy much...
They had not been at table long, in fact they had hardly reached the third cake, when there came another even louder ring at the bell."Excuse me!" said the hobbit, and off he went to the door.
"So you have got here at last!" was what he was going to say to Gandalf this time. But it was not Gandalf. Instead there was a very old-looking dwarf on the step with a white beard and a scarlet hood; and he too hopped inside as soon as the door was open, just as if he had been invited.
"I see they have begun to arrive already," he said when he caught sight of Dwalin's green hood hanging up. He hung his red one next to it, and "Balin at your service!" he said with his hand on his breast.
"Thank you!" said Bilbo with a gasp. It was not the correct thing to say, but they have begun to arrive had flustered him badly. He liked visitors, but he liked to know them before they arrived, and he preferred to ask them himself. He had a horrible thought that the cakes might run short, and then he-as the host: he knew his duty and stuck to it however painful-he might have to go without.
"Come along in, and have some tea!" he managed to say after taking a deep breath.
I take it that means we're goin', invitation or no...
g'nite folks
Well, I'd think even if he shot the first couple mooters to arrive out of surprise, he wouldn't shoot us all, that be just plain inhospitable!
Chip the glasses, crack the plates
That's what Hobbit Holers hate. . .
"If we'd have wanted you to have an opinion... we woulda' issued you one!"
Ahhh... so you are back!
I was about to get around to telling folk you were having connection trouble!
Well... I *was* having connection trouble. Better now. I think.
