That's one of the reasons we decided to do most of the work ourselves. SSQ felt that we'd be dishonoring them if we didn't use the gifts they passed on to us, and in the process, we're passing on those skills to our kids! Besides, we can get a LOT more house for the same amount of dollars. It will take us longer, but we'll have the satisfaction of knowing things were done right, and by us!

Speakin' of horses, Sam never pays attention to the TV, but when Eomer whistled for the horses, Sam went crazy...granted it was a short trip...
Well, it's actually a horse clam, so I can't get credit. But Ramius still shook my hand! LOL
I saw it stickin' it's little neck out and I went to grab it. When I did, it SQUIRTED me with water clear up the front of me, hit me in the eye and everything.
Well, I couldn't let it get away with that.
So I started digging. Had I had a trowel, it woulda took less time, but be that as it may...
Finally, I had my arm clear into the sand and had ahold of it with my NAILS! A couple of pieces of hard leathery stuff pulled off and I just discarded it and kept going. I worked it back and forth till it came out!! I was pretty stunned by the size.
Found out what the hard leathery pieces were...apparently I kinda circumsized it...

Cut my thumb pretty bad trying to open it. Shouldn't have tried that. Got a pressure bandage on it now.

Have a great time at the Oyster House (I used to live just up the hill from it...you'll love the setting). Get those steamers...that was awesome 2J!
